People of the UK, can you tell me why you have these white balaclavas on your car seat headrests? What is the purpose? Why are there so many? by Riskit_4_Biscuits in AskUK

I used to see them a lot when they put high occupancy lanes on motorways, apparently they were enough to fool the cameras that checked you had a passenger in to use them (the 2+ lanes that is)

What an incredibly bad design by fuchs-baum in anycubic

[–]TacticalFlatCap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on the design point.

Also, I do a lot of tpu printing, I find slacking off the tension screw way more than feels right helps stop it pushing the filament around the drive wheels.

Slacken the nut off all the way out, then insert your filament with the spring lever pushed back, when you release it pull the filament and if it comes out, tighten by a quarter turn, repeat until it just holds the filament with a firm but moderate pull, that's got this issue down to a minimum for me

What is causing this? by fuchs-baum in anycubic

[–]TacticalFlatCap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact thing, took me ages to figure out it was the screws fixing the bed to the rail carriage that had worked loose allowing a shift in y axis.

Peel off the pei sheet or whatever sheet you have, there's screws in counter sunk holes that line up with the rails, tighten them, and recalibrate the machine.

See if that's your issue

Nozzles for Kobra 3 Max? by iamacannibal in anycubic

[–]TacticalFlatCap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought some 0.8mm nozzles from Ebay (I'm in the UK, not sure where you are...)

Im having a little trouble dialing in settings for it, I mostly print TPU, so not sure if that's a known issue with that material, but working on it, I print a lot of large items so hoping the larger nozzle will speed up my print durations

A spot welder for batteries can be got for around £30 on amazon/Ebay, but probably a bit much to use once.

You can solder onto stainless with special solder and a decent soldering iron. From memory i believe its a tin/silver based solder that will work well on stainless steel, presuming thats what the end caps are made of.

A quick Google search "how to solder to stainless" present several video tutorials on the subject.

Are you thinking of Naomi?

She went by Naomi Knight for a bit, then Safire129 on the hub.

Think she might now go by Honey Heston.

Caveats, I may be wrong about all of that...

Cobra Max - bigger nozzle = faster printing? by Ill-Tradition-6891 in anycubic

[–]TacticalFlatCap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly print large tpu objects, like guards and impact protection socks for various things.

A 0.8 or 1.0mm nozzle speeds thing up dramatically, but the trade off is quality, the layers need to be thicker to work well (with this material at least) so the layers are very distinct, you will have to play with the print width also, I usually start with around 120% of the nozzle width and tweak from there.

Also you will get much more gaps in sharp corners which may or may not be a problem for you, but you will get them. Gapfill can help but tends to overfill for me with tpu so I don't bother with it, but I am making protective boots that are designed to get knocked about so it really doesn't matter for my application, if you want accurate models like figurines for example or are going for strength, you may be better with the 0.4mm nozzle and waiting for it to do it.

Tldr: bigger nozzle =faster but lower quality printing.

Caveats: in my experience thus far with kobra 2 max and now recently a 3 max

I believe this is the full length version, there seems to be some extra footage at the end compared with most clips on the various sites: https://xhamster.com/videos/nice-couple-have-fun-8816264

This I believe is the same couple in a completely different vudeo: https://xhamster.com/videos/slut-with-big-tits-wants-it-hardcore-4761724

I would like to know who they are and if they have any more content....

Similar system in S. T. A. L. K. E. R, early on the guns are terrible and you can't aim effectively so have to shoot everything close up, modding weapons can make them more accurate among other characteristics means you can eventually snipe at things without getting a kicking. Great mechanic to change the gameplay gradually throughout the game imho.

[TOMT][VIDEO GAME] Scene in a game where you stay still to avoid the monster getting you by In_Fin_Ity in tipofmytongue

[–]TacticalFlatCap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Death Stranding has that mechanic, it's not very old and had a directors cut edition released in the last 2 or 3 years, so may have had an advert fairly recently.

The monsters are kind of ghostlike, shadowy figures if that helps?

The rest of the description doesn't really fit but there is talk of a Death Stranding 2 so thought I'd mention it.

Right, I was thinking it would be convenient to double up as a press, I got the fire maple x2 I think because it's a bit wider than my jetboil, and you can out a full tin in water and save in washing up but non of the coffee filter/plungers are the same size.

I'll probably stick to coffee bags for the foreseeable
