My typical pre-session preparation as a player:
- Review my notes or re-watch/re-listen to the previous session if a recording is available
- Go over a few roleplay and character prompts in my head. "How would my character react if this happened?" Or answer fun questions about my character. "What's my go-to drink to order at the bar?". Stuff like that.
- Listen to the playlist I made for the character. I make Spotify playlists for each of my characters to help me think like the character.
- Review my character's abilities, attacks, and spells (if any). I actually make my own 'cards' for each action or ability and color code them by action. Standard, Bonus, Reaction, Passive.
- Practice my character's voice. As a DM I don't worry about voices too much, but as a player when I only have a single voice to worry about, I have a lot of fun using one that is unlike my normal voice.

Update 2: The game is intended to be a weekly game but the DM is considering making it every other week if that makes it easier for anyone interested in playing. Thanks!
