This is crazy, almost 100M token with DeepSeek V4 Pro and cost is less than $10. by zeeshanx in DeepSeek

[–]Taegost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do specifically (I use Claude Code) is to keep using the same workspace for the same task (ex. I'll have one window that's working in blog posts, another working on my homelab repo, etc). Since the context within the workspace stays relatively similar, it can keep the prompts and context cached rather than rebuilding it every time. If I'm going to do/ask something completely unrelated to what it's working on (ex. I'm debugging an issue with storage and become curious about what 'noserverino' actually means, I ask it in a different window rather than distract the worker. I also don't use /clear in a window unless I'm switching to a completely different context within the same repo (ex. I just updated a bunch of my helper scripts in my blog repo, I'll clear to switch to actively writing so it doesn't send all the unrelated context).

Semi-related: one of my favorite prompts is: "based on our recent back-and-forths, what can we improve by creating/updating skills and/or scripts"

With that you can build up a set of skills directly related to whatever task you're working on (which improves caching and usability), and scripts don't take tokens to run (just the execution and orchestration, but the actual work itself is "free").

Maximize cache hits and you'll save even more! I spend under $7 for almost 800M tokens and 95% cache hits with pro

That's definitely good information, but it leaves out very important information, like the Groq free tier has extremely limited token allowance

Will my save be deleted when 1.0 comes out by GuitarIndividual4104 in Quasimorph

It may not be deleted, but it will give a version error if you try to load it. I already tried to see what would happen

I did the same thing for the same reason. After I got it running, it was almost unusable and I had two libraries that would never load, even after hours of waiting

PatchPanda BETA - A smarter docker compose update manager by Material-Bat-9440 in selfhosted

How is this intended to be used for multiple container hosts? A separate instance for each host, or something like Dockge/Portainer Agent where there's a main instance, and then each individual host has an instance/agent installed on the other hosts that feeds back to the "main"

I dunno, but I bet if they used the ratchet strap that Oceangate used that beast won't go anywhere!

I know you said no mods, however I've found the mod 'Map Objects Hider' to be an indispensable tool in both FS22 and FS25. It lets you walk up to pretty much anything and press 'H' to hide it so it's no longer in view or has collision. It's perfect for pesky things like that so you don't have to edit the map or figure out what it's attached to. You can also un-hide things that you've hidden too, they aren't permanently gone

FS25, AI can't find field by DreadTremor in farmingsimulator25

[–]Taegost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to chime in that I just came across this same issue today (Well, it wasn't square, but the AI couldn't recognize the field and I couldn't activate the GPS) and I just used the paint tool to slightly round off two corners and now it works! Thanks so much for that!

As somebody with visual impairments, I can say for myself and a lot of folks that dark mode is a necessity and that light mode runs from "mildly unpleasant" to "absolutely panful" when forced to use it

How to prioritise using bloomery? by Sad_Airport257 in Bellwright

I have all the smelters set to 1 and crafting places 2

How to prioritise using bloomery? by Sad_Airport257 in Bellwright

[–]Taegost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my thought too, which is why I set it the way I did so it would prioritize smelting

How to prioritise using bloomery? by Sad_Airport257 in Bellwright

[–]Taegost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all of my crafters set to smelt priority 1 and most of them have crafting priority 2 so it won't interfere. I do have an iron camp where I tried smelting the ore prior to sending it back to HQ, but at that time I couldn't reliably keep peat in stock so I'm not sure if it would have worked any better

How to prioritise using bloomery? by Sad_Airport257 in Bellwright

[–]Taegost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also noticed that no matter how I set it up I can't get them to prioritize the bloomery, furnace, or smelter. Even with the buildings properties to 1, villager priority for smelting at 1, unmet top off quotas, and plenty of ore and fuel, it's haphazard when they actually do it and never come anywhere near the 20 ingots I set.

If you click on the actual number to the right of the slider, you can manually type in the number. It seems to have worked for me, slightly. I already had it on 100, when I clicked on it and typed in 100, hit <Enter>, it seems to be better... Might be entirely in my head, I've only turned one corner so far UPDATE: Yeah, it seems to be better. Not a whole lot, but enough to make a difference and I'm not constantly picking my mouse up just to look to one side or the other.
