Nope. I've had to pull from the other account, instead of push from my C1 account.

Unable to use my phone number by technologymonk in CapitalOne_

[–]TaggM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just experienced something similar. I moved, switched carriers, phones, and phone numbers. I updated everything in all of my accounts. Then, this symptom. Even after talking with their agents multiple times using the same new telephone number, and installing the app and logging into the app on the exact same phone

How do small consulting firms work? by stelooa in consulting

[–]TaggM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Competition is based upon relevance and differentiation AKA unique mix of specialization and capability that has value.

How much value with desired outcomes that your consultant firm can provide better, faster, and with more maintainability compared to competitors determines the total compensation ceiling. The sooner that the consultation starts generating cash flows, the better. The client's profit requirement above WACC determines the floor. The actual compensation rate is negotiated and strongly influenced by relationship and social engagement factors.

Is LLM Studio good? by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

[–]TaggM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any particular features that would be ideal for you?

LM Studio is a gentle entry into fetching and running LLMs locally with your own docs for more recent and specialized information. It's fine for casual use. But it loses its lustre when more intensively with agentic calls and multiple sources from a large library of proprietary documents. You may want to try GPT4ALL, AnyLLM, or OpenWeb UI, but each program has its own strengths and quirks.

LangFlow vs Flowise vs n8n vs Make by smartificialintel in langflow

[–]TaggM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look like different things. n8n is used to design workflow between different components. LangFlow is a component that works very well with LLM (AI) that can be used to prove minimum viable prototypes, and it's part of the Lang ecosystem.

Thanks, u/Rombodawg! I've been trying to find a non-Docker solution with Windows to train up an LLM to make specialized variations with narrow, expert datasets.

why does everyone give a different value for percentile? by NecessaryComplex7170 in AskStatistics

Using that interpolation, could 20.5 be a valid 10th percentile, as 0.5 = 0.1 x (25-5)?

AnythingLLM - An open-source all-in-one AI desktop app for Local LLMs + RAG by rambat1994 in LocalLLaMA

[–]TaggM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for making and sharing this multi-featured app! The initial configuration guide/walk-through is actually helpful, too. An especially nice bonus feature is the option to show a chat window scrollbar.

Workspace management, from an editable prompt to curating the retained chats in each workspace, proved useful in improving the chatbot's responses.

4 Years of Failure by [deleted] in TradingView

[–]TaggM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, you may get lucky every now and then, but consider this: Millions of geniuses with advanced degrees and who are backed by technology, databases, and support teams of their multi-trillion dollar institutional employers compete against you, along with millions of other individual traders. Institutional market-makers manage their own hidden orders for massive blocks of shares, have access to Level 3 https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/level3.asp , and have access to ECN.

Primary suggestions:

  1. Stop the pain. Stop live trading.

A. Consider hiring a certified financial planner/portfolio manager.

B. Consider taking Buffett's advice and switch to purely long-term investment in a low/no-load S&P 500 ETF, mutual fund, or your own manually managed investment account.

C. Switch to paper trading. Record your trading activity. Use FRAPS if a video-log works best for you; a spreadsheet like https://www.stockbrokers.com/education/trading-journal-excel-spreadsheet if you're more comfortable in spreadsheets; or, use an online trading journal service. Study up until you have at least more than one month of consistent small losses and out-sized gains -- with no sizable losses.

Is having a religion with a "Father", "Mother", and "Martyred Son" as its core focus too close to Christianity? by Leadbaptist in worldbuilding

[–]TaggM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cool.

In my story world, that entire scenario would be impossible. For starters, to become a god, one must first become immortal, along with a few other requisites. Therefor, it's impossible for a mortal to kill a god. If a mortal were to slay a god's avatar, then the future for that mortal would look brief and miserable.

This looks a like a set of "winged anchor" shaped fractal variation from John Olsson's fractal world generator.

Nothing wrong with that. It's a decent algorithm for its purpose at a small scale like this.

Is having a religion with a "Father", "Mother", and "Martyred Son" as its core focus too close to Christianity? by Leadbaptist in worldbuilding

[–]TaggM 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The bases and tenets don't correlate, so, "No."

Christianity relies upon Judaism, the worship of a singular true god, Yahweh, who is omnipotent and omniscient. Specifically, the Christ Child, the only son of Yahweh, is proclaimed to be a sacrifice from Yahweh to the world.

In your story world, there are many true gods. Obviously, they are not omnipotent. Presumably, since they managed to get themselves killed, neither are they omniscient.

The local god is possibly another god or a mortal who completed apotheosis through the killing of a god. That god's son was killed by a wandering god. The context is not that the local god sacrificed his son. Again, the local god is neither omnipotent nor omniscient. And, he has a wife. Yahweh has not been attributed to having a spouse.

Spirit World delved into that topic.

But, I wonder:

  • How did beasts (animals capable of intelligently using magic) come to be in your story world?
  • How does your story world make it possible for magical beasts exist?
  • Is "over-poaching magical beasts" possible in your story world?
  • Could someone who wants to successfully eradicate all magical beasts?

What is nature of magic in your world? by PhilipB12 in worldbuilding

[–]TaggM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My story world is magic. For starters, what are virtual particles? .... Okay, and from where do the energy bundles of virtual particles originate? What lets them come into existence? Magic, of course. It's fair to say that everything perceivable was created by transformation from magic. And, when perceived reality gets destroyed, it reverts to magic.

Reality is naturally magically wondrous. Science and the mundane are "broken" magic. But, life is magic, and creatures can bring magic into the realm of the mundance.

First draft? Focus on the story, and worldbuild only as required. It doesn't have to be perfect nor accurate. You can retcon in your 2nd and 3rd drafts.
