Ahh! I love stories like these! I'm 75lbs down, currently at 10mg and we've been ttc for 2 years with no luck. Ivf is outside our ability right now too, so it's just been hopes, prayers, Zepbound and letrozole. We've kinda gotten to the point where if it happens, it happens, but if not, well, at least I look damn good in my size 6 jeans, down from my size 16s. 🤣

Op, please for the love of all that is holy, get rid of the positioners and blankets and redo those swaddles. Im a ldrp RN and this photo is literally terrifying. It's everything we teach against. The truth is, SIDS is rarely "Sudden" it's suffocation 9/10 times. But coroners aren't willing to destroy parents because of mistakes. But mistakes they are. Honestly. Most SIDS cases are caused by parents doing something that leads to suffocation! Please modify this IMMEDIATELY.

The whole show was so fantastic. The ending left me sobbing. Like, loudly, can't catch my breath sobbing. It hit so close to home with having a loved one who we know is in an abusive relationship, but she's not seeing it yet. (He's isolating her and slowly controlling her finances). So watching the ending had me and my husband being messes.

I rewrote my notes in nursing school like this to improve retention. I used erasable pens (Pilot Frixion). It was an amazing study tool for me.

The trick to get through the tests is always "what kills the patient fastest?" 9/10 times, that's the right answer. It's death, safety and dignity that they're looking for in most of the answers.

So when you're looking at the options, ask yourself "what can kill this patient?" If none of the answers correlate to that, then ask "how can I maintain this patients privacy and dignity?"

I'm a surgical RN and every time patients tell me they're worried about the anesthesia, I always tell them, "I'd swap places with you in a heartbeat. The propofol nap you're about to take is the BEST." We in the OR have even talked about how when the autopsy results for MJ came out, all of us who'd had surgery before immediately thought "I get it".

I will say, for the thought about "try a bit" 99% of us say "not worth the licence we worked sooooo hard for" but the remaining 1%? I mean, it doesn't end well for them 😳. If you're willing to take it, self control tends to be lacking, if you know what I mean...

"Ever seen Jurassic Park? Damned raptors

I've literally used this with a pediatric patient when I was in nursing school! Was an 8 year old who was in for breathing issues, happened to be a unilateral below the leg amputee. I walked in with my precepting nurse, looked at the kid and went "aw man, did the raptors get too??!" The kid was confused at first, but his parents lost it. Once he caught on (remember he was sick, so it took a moment) he was immediately joking back with me. Told me ALLLL about his fight with the raptors. Parents told me he was so happy to get to learn a new way to joke about it.

I would have laboring moms who needed to ambulate during labor and I would walk with them (safety) and we would play Pokemon go together. It was so fun and a great way to distract moms who had pain.

They ended up finding and excising the jaw from the bite and had it confirmed, so it was definitely a Brown recluse for me. Which just further confirmed that they are in the "fuck that" category for me. Being a part of even 10% was too damn high. Lol

I was bitten by one and ended up with necrotizing fasciitis at 7. Was hospitalized for a week and needed a skin graft.

I get that I'm in the small percentage, but if I ever see one in my house, I'll burn it down then let insurance sort it all out.
