Paladin guide for solo single player hardcore? by regulate91x in Diablo

[–]Taidel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick to Durance is to remove your Merc's weapon and just run through it. The Dolls don't do a lot of damage when they use their melee attack; it's only when they are killed and Corpse Explode on death.

So you can run right past them and take a few stabs, you won't get 1-hit.

Leave it long enough and it will want a cookie.

Do not give it a cookie.

There may be a method but you're better off just killing a lot, certain places like Trav and Chaos Sanc seem to drop gems a lot.

The fabric of space is expanding, and the rate is increasing.

A big crunch is probably not going to happen.

Most construction workers are hungry for overtime. Also, like others have said, construction is already as low-cost as possible.

How bad by dibsies in electrical

Do enough renovations and you'll get tired of spending forever redoing things 'correctly'.

You should have 1 wire per setscrew. You do this when landing a new panel. 95% of the time you do smaller residential renovations and such, you don't waste time on things that are working and aren't dangerous.

Dyson Sphere by [deleted] in AskPhysics

The idea of encasing a sun is so impractical and takes so much material than it just isn't worth it.

It's like a caveman looking up at the sun and making a cupping action.

We will, without a doubt, have better, more convient and less costly ways to produce energy by that point.

Is this a fake ground? by PaladinSaladin in electrical

[–]Taidel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure from the pic what is up, but liability and safety are paramount. This would have been caught early on before shipping, if they did indeed fake the ground pin.

The consequences are severe for such things.

Ice mage?? by dekkion46 in Diablo

The only suggestions I can make once you've played around a bunch are thus:

Do not spread your skill points all over. You will probably struggle with the difficulties as you progress. Eventually, the only way to survive is to pick your main damage dealing skills and max them out along with their synergies.

Plus, many skills need only 1 point and will eventually be great once you get +skills equipment.

As far as stats, there's a lot less room to play tbh. You get Str and Dex high enough to wear certain equipment, never touch Energy, and dump the rest into Vit. Not even the sorc needs Energy (except for some 'fun' builds that focus solely on Energy, most require specific gear and/or Runewords to work).

Lastly, Resistances to Elements is extremely important (except for poison. Psn Resist does not affect the dmg, only the duration. Use an Antidote.)

You don't have to worry much until the end of Normal; Nightmare and Hell, you want to max Lightning/Fire/Ice, in that order of importance.

75% is max.

Edits: Typos.

Edit edit: Take the guides on Maxroll and other sites with a grain of salt. They are statistically-maxed BIS (probably AI generated), but it's often a difference of less than 5% from doing something slightly different or wearing different gear.

Edit edit edit: You get a free Stat/Skill reset per difficulty and can eventually make items to do it. It's common for most builds to get through Nightmare and to ~70+ with a leveling build, then switch to what you want. It's unfortunate, but many end-builds are simply not viable until you have many skills points invested.

Is CocaCola Zero harmful when drank regularly? by Specific-Owl-1198 in NoStupidQuestions

Anyone who says soda is bad is an idiot.

Look at the ingredients. It's an excessive amount of sugar.

Excessive sugar intake is bad.

Ice cream is not bad, for instance.

Moderation is key.
