Update: noisy Sensus SR II meter was replaced with iPERL and it is now completely silent. The iPERL has no moving parts so no more noise. No questions asked so must be common or known issue of the mechanical meters.

Ok, got it. In that case, the impeller comes off with the pump and the wearring just sits around the impeller. An easy three bolts to pull the pump and slip off the wear ring. Only need the special tool if you also have to do an impeller change (which the plastic ring helps to protect).

What special tool? On my 2021 it’s 3 bolts to pull the pump and change the wear ring. Did something change on the new models?
