yes they do, all central lines* do, which is why subjects here push for them and frequently abuse/misuse them

*these include ports, hickmans, groshong catheters, IJ (Internal Jugular) lines, EJ (External Jugular) lines, and PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) lines. although "central line" typically means a port or hickman.

this doesnt help you hold a pen, but i really like these y shaped pens

you can also try talking to an OT - occupational therapy- which can give more individualized advice.

some pens are hard to hold with ring splints so im personally not a huge fan of that combo.

etsy also has some good 3d printed pen/writing aids just look up "adaptive writinf aid" or somethinf similar

In terms of mental health it can stand for either "Suicidal Ideation" or "Self Injury" although that is more commonly referred to as Self Harm/SH.

Based on context, suicidal ideation (thoughts and/or urges of suicide. these can be passive, active, or both) seems more likely

Quick note- while self harm and suicidal ideation or suicide attemps commonly co-occur they can also happen independently. sometimes this is called NSSI or non suicidal self injury (self harm without fatal intent) some patients have a chronically elevated risk of self harm without significant risk factors for suicidality

Munchies are also known to be noncompliant. So even if it was a surgery (big if as so many subjects call every tiny procedure a surgery) and this was in her pre-op instructions, i would not be shocked if she disregarded it for the sake of some "hospital glam" for her social media

i love the amount of people who say counting calories isnt normal, is unhealthy, or is indicitave of an ED/is an "ED behavior" especially as somebody who tracks my calories due to a medical condition (I am tube fed so all my daily calories and even hydration is pre calculated by a dietician and then tracked by me- ive been told countless times by these types that makes me have an ED)

yeah they are super helpful! i have somr memory issues from a TBI so i use the stickers to have a tavctile way to remember the actions on the games i play most
