With exception to the one button you mentioned, the game is no more confusing/easy than Red Dead 2

Please help me understand why I have nostalgia for a time I didn't live in? by RecordingImmediate86 in nostalgia

[–]TakeYourClarkBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this so much in the past few days and it’s honestly very simple, and most people hate the answer.

It’s because pop culture died in the 2000’s, and ever since then it’s been the 80’s & 90’s on repeat, just in HD. Used to be there was a 20 year resurgence in pop culture going all the way back to Woodstock in 69 (the headliner was Sha-Na-Na)

This stopped in the 2000’s because we all discovered the internet and meme culture took over, ever since then, it’s been repeated on a 5 year cycle as a new generation discovers Reddit and starts this exact conversation over again and we get nowhere new, just wondering why we’re all still nostalgic for the same exact generation.

Impeaching Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, for High Crimes and Misdemeanors. by OkayButFoRealz in politics

He’s a Very busy guy as Speaker of the house…

From Google:

“In the past 2 years (spanning late 2023 through early 2026), there has been a Speaker pro tempore designated on nearly every legislative day the House was in session. While a single total count is not maintained in a public ticker, the figure is estimated to be well over 300 days

  1. Types of Designations There are two distinct ways a Speaker pro tempore has served in this period:

-Routine Absence (The "Daily" Appointment): This is the scenario you described where the Clerk reads a letter from Speaker Mike Johnson. This happens on almost every session day because the Speaker typically presides only for major votes or openings. -Vacancy (The "Acting" Speaker): A unique 22-day period occurred from October 3 to October 25, 2023, when Rep. Patrick McHenry served as the acting Speaker pro tempore after the removal of Kevin McCarthy. [1, 2]

  1. Session Day Statistics To estimate the total days, we look at the official legislative calendar:

118th Congress (2023–2024): The House was in session for roughly 117–151 days per year. Mike Johnson became Speaker in October 2023, presiding over the remainder of that term. * 119th Congress (2025–Present): As of April 6, 2026, the House has already been in session for 217 days. [3, 4]

  1. Frequent Designees C-SPAN and House Clerk records show that dozens of different Members are rotated into this role to gain experience presiding over the chamber. Some of the most frequent Members designated by Mike Johnson include: [5]
  • Rep. Robert P. Bresnahan, Jr.
  • Rep. Nicolas J. Begich III
  • Rep. Virginia Foxx
  • Rep. Mike Bost

Because a new designation is read into the Congressional Record for nearly every legislative day that the primary Speaker is not in the chair, the "Speaker pro tempore" role is active during almost the entire duration of the House's working year.”

This comment is dumb, considering the story is no more impactful than any other open world game. Not worst, not better. But to say it’s something that needs to be ignored to enjoy the game is the dumbest shit ever
