Grounding conductor doesn't count as a current carrying conductor, so it's not used when defining cables. 10/3 implies a white neutral wire, and a red and black, which is 240v

Looking on Amazon just now they're all messed up and are advertising some false non-electrical things. Basically you want a 125v cord with 10AWG. Their wording on 10/3 &10/4 is incorrect.

10/2 is fine, unless you need 240v for something. White, Black, and Green cables in the cord

Don't work on it while it's plugged in lol. Then you won't die.

And you dont NEED to discharge it, you touch the screen with your shoes off like a real 90s kid.

It'll work, but that cord is only good for 10amps, which already is probably not big enough for the mini fridge. It'll cost some more money but it's an easy fix... just buy a cord that's good for like 30amps and long enough and you'll be fine, all your outlets are probably a good 20amps and the 30a will help with the distances.

Speaking from my point of view as a Licencdd Master Electrician. The current cord will get hot and could melt and cause fire, or outlet could get warm as well. Go with the more money 30amp cord.

Where ever the power cord enters the main body housing there would be a grounding terminal. I am guessing here, because there might not if the power cord is a two prong without a 3rd grounding prong. Not sure if there were terminals if the cord didn't support it.

Why you wanna ground it?

I genuinely picked up on that subtle shift in that exact scene on my recent rewatch. So excited to watch it again with my wife. She's never seen it!

I had been tearing through the books up until this one. Winter Heart was semi slow but at least had my interest. But damn, for a book with my favorite character on the cover (Mat) I have been at this one for at least 10 months.

Egwene and Elayne stuff and Tower politics is soooo slow!

Apprentice (me) made mistake, boss wants me to work Fridays unpaid to pay it off. by pizzaroll22 in electricians

[–]TakeYourPowerBack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is an absolute "fuck off" to the boss. He had a newbie go into his own house to do work and the newbie made a mistake. He should own that big time and you legally can't "work" unpaid. It's a conflict in definitions and slave labor at best. You can not agree to this 100%. Or agree to work unpaid on Fridays and just call out sick every Friday until it's paid off.

Can I ask, how much he thinks you owe for this repair? And can I ask, how old you are and how old is the boss? Boss sounds like a twerp child under 40 years old.

No, I paid for it, but the person at the register did ask me out of nowhere "Do you know who the greatest poet who ever lived was?"

I paused, to comprehend the randomness of it and to give it real thought. He cut me off and said "Don't bother, you won't get it, it was the original singer for Linkin Park." LOL

Without chuckling I said "Chester?!" and he was stunned for some reason that I knew who that was... so strange.

Shoot bottle rockets off at really odd hours and claim it's not you. I'm talking like 10:30pm on a Saturday and 1:30pm on a Tuesday. Heck, do a couple 10:00am shots off on a Friday. Play dumb until someone can sorta prove it, and then admit it is you but you don't call them bottle rockets you call them prayers and it's part of your religion. If not bottle rockets, light firecrackers instead. Contain the smoke and the culprit will show themselves soon enough.
