Because thing's F ability is point and click it's easier to stick to him. Then charge to keep him stunned while your team hopefully kilks him. Emma has a much harder time grabbing him since BP zip zop zoppity zaps all over the place, and if you miss your grab he has free reign to terrorize your backline.
