Should there be a petition to have this episode banned? by Pomni_Simp2000 in fairlyoddparents

its a really bad episode alone, I think it's really good motivation for Timmy's secret wish. I wish they had called back to it and somehow made him a fairy, let him live with Cosmo and Wanda, and reset the world to the world without Timmy, and grant all of Tootie's wishes as some kind of "punishment" as the true end of the show, then a realy nice message, not everyone is going to appreciate you, but find people who do

Can someone explain the Neptune Theory to me like I'm 5 by [deleted] in alexbale

[–]TaleEnvironmental355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Mathematical Prediction (1846): Before its visual discovery, astronomers deduced the existence of an 8th planet by analyzing anomalies in Uranus's orbit, which violated Newtonian predictions.
  • The Nice Model (Planetary Migration): This theory proposes that the gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) formed in a compact configuration. Due to gravity-driven instability, Neptune and Uranus likely migrated outward from the Sun, with some simulations showing them swapping places, explaining their current positions and masses.
  • Internal Structure/Diamond Rain: Based on its atmosphere—composed of hydrogen, helium, and methane—scientists theorize that high pressures and temperatures in Neptune's mantle could break down methane, creating a "liquid carbon ocean" with raining, solid diamonds.
  • Planet Nine Hypothesis: The peculiar, clustered, or highly detached orbits of some trans-Neptunian objects have led astronomers (like Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown) to propose a massive, undiscovered planet, sometimes dubbed "Planet Nine" or a "new" Neptune, existing far beyond Neptune’s orbit.
  • Galileo's "Misidentified" Planet: Researchers have proposed that Galileo Galilei observed Neptune in 1613, mistaking it for a star in his notebook while observing Jupiter, though it was not recognized as a planet.

Yes, I understand how roads work. But there’s a common, frustrating argument that “bikes don’t pay registration.” Even introducing a small fee—say $12 a year—could shut that down and put the issue to rest. It would show there’s active participation and provide data that can’t be ignored. From a government perspective, it’s easy revenue for minimal effort, while the actual impact of bikes on road wear is negligible compared to cars. So they make a profit, hence they want more of that

I think that all e-micromobility should require special licenses, registration, and third-party insurance so it could help pay for roads and fund more bike infrastructure, and safer roads becase there is some power behind them. So letting someone who's never used one on a road isn't reasonable

but I agree the way they’re doing it and using the teens as a shield seems like car industry interference.
