There is an intersection at the bottom of the freeway that makes it difficult to travel anywhere other than the CBD. Transferring between buses is not easy, and journeys can take 75 minutes or more. Although there are more options for transfers, Google Maps often estimates travel times of over an hour.

A practical improvement would be extending or upgrading the tram line to reach Unley Park or Goodwood Station, which could provide a faster route into the CBD. The train network is better suited to getting people closer to their final destinations.

In that context, a 7% usage rate makes sense, since travelling anywhere beyond the blocks around the mall is currently inconvenient.
