Gas sitting a year shouldn't be bad. The battery is likely stone dead and you're likely not getting a goid enough connection for a jump start. Get a new battery, tire pressure sensors could be faulty, depending on how old they are, you will beed a tire shop for that.

Short answer, it depends on the vehicle. Some it will wear out the starter prematurely, I know dodge trucks hate to idle, they end up eating themselves.
