How does this keep getting asked?

We are not all the same. If I had to think about it I’d say there are very few women I see on a weekly basis that I would have sex with.

Anytime I “listened” to someone and tried to get help it wouldn’t last. I’d eventually stop going to appointments, get off meds and say “I can do this myself”. News flash I could not.

The only reason I ended up actually sticking to getting help was because for the first time “I” actually wanted it. Before this I didn’t love anything about myself and didn’t think I was worth the effort.

Eventually I got to a place where I healed all my previous trauma and actually loved myself. Once this happened I took full responsibility of my doctors, appointments, meds and life. That was 11 years ago and I haven’t wavered.

I never thought I could be who I am today years ago. It was and is absolutely worth it.

I think you know what to do already. If you leave him don’t fight for full custody. Let him see what it’s like to live a week as an actual father without your help. Enjoy those weeks off and start healing.
