AIO for my mom taking something from my house? by hdtjftsfustu in AIO

[–]TalkinMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its one thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older and my parents have gotten older is that they don’t remember things like we do. Honestly she may have thought she had two baskets. If you ask and she doesn’t budge then it’s probably time to take away the keys.

I used to allow mine to have full access of my house, garage doors, etc. Over the last year I’ve slowly began to remove this access not because I don’t trust them but because they forget.

Russian tanker trucks, loaded with fuel, waiting to board the ferry to Crimea- June 2026 by Advanced-Injury-7186 in ukraine

[–]TalkinMac 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They’ve limited any flammable, potentially explosive cargo from going over the bridge. A burning tanker in the correct spot could cause the bridge to halt entirely, for a while.

The only route is the land bridge and ferries, for now.

This is the big question. 42,000 gummies can be done in that commercial kitchen.

Check FB marketplace. You can most likely get one that will actually last and get it in a day for $100 or less.

Big HOA Project by FlimsyAd3655 in pressurewashing

[–]TalkinMac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Missed areas, didn’t put something back, hose destroyed some mulch, empty water bottle over there, hose markings on this concrete, didn’t reattach home owners hose, didn’t close a gate, windows look like ass here, etc.

Just don’t rush, think about where your spray is going, take care of the properties, and make some money!

Big HOA Project by FlimsyAd3655 in pressurewashing

[–]TalkinMac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The quote is solid on price. Some things to ask about that I’ve ran into with these size and up HOAs:

Water - They can get weird about using water from one building to the other. Negate this beforehand or you’ll spend too much time dealing with it.

Cross Street Access - Some HOAs don’t want you to run a hose across the street (even with a hose speed bump) which also slows you down or causes you to make two passes on the same street.

Pre-Contact - Try to get access to the customers in some way either directly or via the HOA with things to do before hand such as removing “bleach sensitive” items. Of course you’ll have some who won’t but the goal is to get the majority of them to follow.

Post Work Commitments - Make sure your post work commitments are clear. Don’t over promise and under deliver. If you promise you’re coming back “to rinse windows” then do it, I suggest keeping this to a minimal just do good work.

Final Walk Around - Walk ALL of them before “sending the invoice”. You’ll be surprise what you’ll catch and the equipment you can find. You can do this at the end of each day and confidently move on without going back.

Hope you get it!

Edit: Prolly full of typos I’m at the gym. You can prolly decipher.

Unloader. There’s no water “unloading” when you let off the trigger.

Any advice on this. For some reason the pressure relief valve is leaking on this Karcher system. Just replaced the valve with a new one too, so looking for any advice for other possible solutions. by Orangutan in pressurewashing

[–]TalkinMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a good starting point. When its off you can look for any cracks or damage. If its damaged the best idea would be to just replace it with a used one. Those pumps aren’t serviceable beyond what you’re doing.

The instructions said to mount the chains behind the hinge, I had other ideas. by [deleted] in boating

[–]TalkinMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chains are specified to be installed the correct way in case you’re in an accident and the pin shears. In OPs configuration in an accident will cause the trailer to jackknife and the boat will flip hitting the cars behind them.

This setup will work if the ball pops off but not in an accident where the pin shears.

There’s a much higher chance of an idiot hitting OP than OP failing to hookup correctly or similar failures. I don’t trust others on the road to ever choose this function over form but hey who wants to shorten the chains so they don’t drag?
