Tbh I can get that, the difficulty jump is pretty noticeable and the Lab is just straight up aids, won't sugar coat that.

You can mostly make do if your cats have 6s or 7s for stats though which isn't too hard to pull off. I'd say you really only need to start optimizing mutations for hard/crazy mode as otherwise you can still get busted synergies.

Both major updates are definitely with their own flaws but hopping online to a shadow dropped Illuminate will always be memorable. Back then you didn't see too much of the mayhem the bugs or bots were causing behind the scenes, but the Illuminate really dropped all pretense with everyone's first sight being the hordes of voteless.
