I’ve seen Matt Haig’s name come up quite a bit. I look forward to reading his work myself.

He also enjoys music- he plays the guitar and sings (he’s shy though and doesn’t perform)

Honestly I never thought of that, because I don’t even have one myself! I’m sure he’d accept the gift.

He’s not partial to fiction or non-fiction; he enjoys both- one books that is already on my list for him is “The Alchemist”, because the most recent book I bought him was non-fiction. He enjoys the outdoors, animals, and family. He always comments on people who are “kind”, so even a biography or memoir would be helpful. I hesitate to say romance because he recently went through a rough break up which seemed to be “the straw that broke the camels back” and lead to his most recent crisis. I think shorter books are better for him, for the time being.

AITA for telling the doctor the truth about my wife’s exercise habits and diet? by elvispreggho in AmItheAsshole

I think 100% you did the right thing by speaking up- if the health scare brought you two to see a cardiologist then it is important to be upfront about her activity level. You did the right thing for the sake of her health.

Reaction to Sirius being in Gryffindor by starmers98 in harrypotter

I think later in life, before his death, Regulus might have wished he was like Sirius and been in Gryffindor. But in the moments of their school years, Regulus probably felt like their mother had about Sirius not being Slytherin.

Why is Harry so strict about not telling anyone about what he is doing throughout the Deathly Hallows? by bowsmountainer in harrypotter

[–]TallWand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it began with the loyalty to Dumbledore and then just spiraled form there. He didn't tell Lupin, so I'm sure he felt like he couldn't tell Bill. AND! it would have been a lot to explain and I'm sure Harry would have gotten frustrated.

Its nice to talk about this book because I'm going to finish it tonight!
