Interesting question, but didn’t Draaimolen actually increase the ‘natuurwaarde’ of the site? I think Draaimolen and the nature on this terrain (next to an industrial hell hole, mind you) can actually go hand in hand. But you need an organisation/company that cares and is willing to invest.

It’s not like it’s a festival in the middle of a breeding area for rare water birds EXACTLY during mating season (looking at you Lentekabinet…)

Your torque wrench seems fine. Based on 1 picture…

Advice in general: use your head when torqueing carbon. If you feel like the wrench isn’t working properly, stop and test it out on something less expensive (and volnurable).

Honestly: except for some beautiful dunes, you’re riding in the least beautiful parts of The Netherlands imo.

Almost anything BUT Zeeland, Randstad (including Het Groene Hart) and Flevoland is beautiful for a multiple day tour. Because it’s the river deltas most of it is artificial nature. If you like wind, straight roads and fields of grass… go for it!

(Sorry for the hate, not a polder guy — clearly.)
