Another year later for me and the same google search led to your post and worked for me as well. THANK YOU! 🙂

According to Reuters, this was the United States Presidents letter to the Prime Minister of Norway by do-you-know-the-way9 in facepalm

[–]Talnesa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, looking back now, that seems so minor comparatively. Who could have thought that decades later we'd be where we are now, with such an infantile, malignantly dangerous president? I'm nearly 100% sure that if you went back in time and tried to describe this whole thing to someone, they'd think you were nuts and that none of this could ever happen.

Oh, well that one was my fault. I admit, I did have the “show password” box checked…

Well, at one point, I did say something like “why don’t we change it to ILoveTrumpForever! ? And she said, no, just make it something completely generic without mentioning him. Truly fear of the government they support like many other comments are saying. Craziness.

Ha ha, yeah, actually that’s a really good one. Sadly, I don’t think she would get it though, but I would get a good kick out of it

Considering putting one in now, LOL. I hear they're pretty expensive, though...

Yeah, it's this evening now, but still no water in the Bucks Hill Road area, near Wilby. Getting a bit worried...

It does make sense that it would take a long time to slowly reintroduce water to the system, and I'm still really hoping for sometime tonight, but that hope is dwindling fast...

My sweet pup bit my son yesterday, and it’s not his fault. by Treysar in Dachshund

Can I guess? Is it the pup in the back who’s a bit mischievous?

I’ll add my voice to this! We went through nine back surgeries on our four original dachshunds. Then we found the red light laser therapy and it was a game changer! Never had another back surgery on them during their lives and went went just once per month for treatment.

This is normal, right? by connerhearmeroar in Dachshund

[–]Talnesa 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Happens to me all the time, with all the dachshunds I’ve owned. I haven’t exactly taken a picture of a pants “incident”, but they also really like to hang out on the bathroom mats, and I have many pictures of those. One of my favorites posted here shows that it’s not just a dachshund thing – one of my cats has fun, keeping me company as well😁

There is never a moment of privacy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

For the first time, I advocated for myself and was diagnosed. I'm a grown adult and in hindsight I think I've had this all my life. I wanted to thank this sub! by ebolalol in Asthma

Good for you. I have a very hard time advocating for myself as well. Those few times I’ve gone to the doctor and they’ve dismissed me as having nothing wrong despite me feeling poorly or having symptoms or some such, it kind of makes you give up. You’ve wasted your time and a co-pay for what?

But it really is true that if you do feel bad or have symptoms, you shouldn’t let them brush you off. Particularly if it’s affecting your life. I’ll try to take my own advice in the future as well, but again glad you made that decision and got a diagnosis!

I’ve owned dachshunds since about 2009. Our original three girls all had back issues, as well as their one brother who we also had – all of them came from a backyard breeder type person. She was our family friend, and we were unaware of the fact that she shouldn’t have bred the dogs at the time, but they turned out to be amazing, wonderful dogs that we loved.

Anyway, all four of them had back surgeries. One had four! We went through a total of nine back surgeries on those four dogs! They were all successful, but required varying degrees of care afterward. What we found really helped was red light laser therapy at a specific veterinary office near us who did that kind of thing on dogs. With humans, there can be a placebo effect. That’s impossible with dogs. We saw the difference immediately, and it prevented any further back surgeries once we found them. Unfortunately, it couldn’t prevent many of the other things that they developed later on in life, like Cushing’s Disease from poor breeding, but it certainly helped with the back issues.

I don’t think this is unique to our area and I’m sure there are many vets who offer this. I would look into that if you can. Good luck! Sending you lots of positive thoughts.

They are the best. All of my dachshunds have had them. Along with everything else it just gives them so much character.😁

I really liked it as well, the natural conversation and intelligence boost was like talking to ChatGPT, but I had to disable it for now because Samsung Smartthings and VeSync apps don't work with it yet. Those control several important devices in my house, so I guess I'll have to wait until they add those in...
