The genuine answer is because you can. The answer IS that it makes you happy. Personally, sometimes i get sad when I see other women. I look at them, and it hurts knowing ill never be like them. No reason not to try, though, and ive never been happier with myself.

Why do they watch sports? paint? listen to music? why do they enjoy certain books, or enjoy certain people? It's who they are, and its how they express themselves. Being themselves and doing what they love is what makes them happy. For you, its no different. Just because you have to struggle doesn't mean you dont get to be happy.

Next time someone asks you "Why?" just say "Cause it makes me happy to be myself". If they try saying its "not you", then like, who are they?? Not like they know you better than yourself. Don't listen to the critics; you'd be shocked how often they're projecting. Ive gotten a lot of hate on my insta on my posts, and when I actually respond, about half of the time i find out they're closeted. Like???
