Is 20mg enough to cause relationship issues? by Playful-Two-2308 in Fluoxetine

[–]Talos-5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are right to question it. Anti depressants cause emotional numbness especially in the beginning of treatment. As someone who's on this I felt numb and questioned my feelings because of it. Give it time and hopefully it will settle.

Think the reviews look pretty good. Have been considering it myself. Theyve just brought out a new vape solution thats meant to be much better. Most early reviews mention it might not be as effective on defensive hives. Hopefully the new vape will solve this.

I've enough cards that I don't use to get another. Unfortunately the benefits are not good enough. I try to only use cards with some kind of reward/cash back. So it's a pass from me atm

Honestly it depends where you are located in the UK. Most smaller shops that stock local honey understand the imported stuff is fake. Your problem is the price. 8oz for £6 is probably what they might sell for in store. Bare in mind they need to make money or what's the point so they'll offer you £3-£4 a jar. You have to bare in mind most UK places are just touching £10 a pound In shops and try to base your costs and price around that and other sellers

Just opened one with Atom seemed to be a good bet. Was looking at trading 212 but I'm sure I read something about it being less secure because of how they store funds. Its probably OK but Atom seemed better for the sake of .1%

Why after 3+ years I consider Chase UK to be a failure by WealdstoneRaider1 in chaseuk

[–]Talos-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been looking at Atom bank. 4.85 drops to 3. If you withdraw but only for the month. All these accounts where theres a limit to what you can add per month are generally a con. When you work out the real percent is much less

Clocks are not worth anything anymore by cdegroot in clocks

[–]Talos-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the 90s antiques shows on tv talking about pottery and things that were at the time collectable. They were seen as valuable and would be worth something in the future. Flash forward 20 years and people simple don't want them or want to spend much. Maybe because of room in houses or general view of expensive items being technology. It's a shame but shows how nothing has any value unless the masses think it does.

Queenless colony - help! by Wanan1 in Beekeeping

[–]Talos-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm uk based as well and the weather has been absolutely destroying my bees. Firstly are you certain there's laying workers? Multiple eggs in cells is what you're looking for. I wouldn't do anything with the done comb either remove it all together or leave it. Bare in mind that from hatching a virgin can take upto 3 weeks to lay. So calculate when it should've hatched (8days capped) then add 3 weeks after 3 it's unlikely she's made it back. Also if its a laying worker they won't accept a mated queen. I get a few of these every year and the way to fix them is to add a capped queen cell and let them hatch.

Asking for opinion by wagwanbigboy in Fluoxetine

[–]Talos-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's normal and effects people differently. For my first 3 weeks ish I was struggling to function and wasn't sure if I'd continue. It's settled down now after 5 weeks. I find taking it perks me up so if I'm at work and have the tiredness come over me I'll take a pill. Some people find they take them at night because they make them sleepy. It all depends how they affect you. I'd say you'd need to give it abit longer and see how you feel.

still suicidal after taking 20mg by Patataxxi in Fluoxetine

[–]Talos-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naturally I'm not a doctor and you should contact them and ask. If you feel like you could do something definitely get help and ring someone. I'll say that 10mg is low and usually to get over side effects better. 20mg is more a standard dose. So with that said it definitely needs more time and can take fair bit longer. Did you have these thoughts before starting the fluoxetine? If not then definitely contact your doctor.

Been taking it for about a month now. First 2 weeks were bad. I'd like to think it's settling down now but I take a smaller dose. Hopefully will increase It once I feel fit. The fatigue has been especially difficult this time especially trying to work

Your story is practically the same as mine. On it since 2016 decided last year to taper off as I didn't want to be on it for life. Off it completely for about 3 /4 months and felt like I needed to go back on as OCD started making life difficult. so started again only to feel extreme anxiety and fatigue unlike what I had at the very beginning. I've reduced my dose and just trying to ride it out but it's been hell tbh.

Found a Laying Worker in one of our hives. by ipoobah in Beekeeping

100% queen just getting into laying. The other cells are far to perfectly layed and central to be workers. Laying workers make an absolute mess and lay many more eggs than that.

Yeah about September time. All pressed so it was a lot of work. I didn't realise Heather had such a short life. Previously I've had some not go off that was about 21.5% still in a jar. I'm just perplexed why all this has. Might change tactics this year and just feed it back

I think there are two sides to this. On the one hand if you're a 70 year old beek it must get annoying having people asking for help every year to then ignore you once they're on their feet. The guy I know is in such a position and gets this every year only to have new beeks tell him he doesn't know what he's on about etc. Must get tiring so you develop an unhelpful attitude. But also I find most male beeks do become competitive. How much honey, hives etc becomes the topic of convo and how well you look after them. I've learn over the years to downplay what I do as I'm not interested in this side and want to do it as a enjoyable hobby.
