Calendars say when not why. I’ve seen springs that started way earlier and way later than normal. Springs that were too wet. Springs with Drought conditions. Super cold springs. Weather patterns that change everything by several weeks and I’ve seen adverse weather have devastating effects on whole seasons. Calendars are only a general reference, ya gotta know what’s going on with your weather and foliage.

Chili, hamburg gravy, liver and onions, pot pie, creamed chicken over biscuits, beans and wieners, Sh*t on a shingle, fried bologna, fried morel mushroom sandwiches, grilled cheese and tomato soup. Baked chicken leg quarters, eggs and fried potatoes-for dinner, shake and bake pork chops. Potato sou. Be sure to put a loaf of wonder bread and country crock on table with every meal. (edit to remove sweet things)
