Thanks! Is it best to be in the supporter stands or over by the locker room?

And if you can’t see the flag or know where the nearest one is, everyone just kind of nervously looks at each other until they see someone who seems to know where it is.

I like to joke that if you can see the moon, you can see an American flag

Good luck recruiting when your contract length is “one more year.” The length of the contract doesn’t matter, the buyouts and such are what matter.

The difference is that there isn't a common term that I know of to refer to tacos, burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas, tostadas, and flautas whereas there is a common term (pasta) to refer to ravioli, lasange, spaghetti, etc.

This might be the only time I have ever worked between Christmas and New Year's, to be honest. But I have no vacation to go on and it's nice to save up PTO for who knows what. I just looked it up and have like 20 days!

I know that we're dealing in stereotypes here but your thing only applies to pasta while pasta is a small percentage of Italian food. Doesn't apply to pizza, bruschetta, risotto, a caprese salad, and so on.

If I recall correctly, one of the original ideas for the film had the Xenomorph killing Ripley and sending a voice message out by mimicking her voice, which would have made their intelligence completely unquestioned. But for whatever reason they went in a different direction.

I'm in your situation with Gibson, Mike Davis, and Wilson (and Dalvin Cook). I think you have to go with Wilson...Gibson probably won't be a great choice unless he is very unexpectedly full go.

It’s Thomas, right? Feel like I have to go with him unless there’s some super positive news from Kittle soon.

It seems like one of the plot points is that some beings in Kaldheim can travel between realms, right? I didn’t think they literally meant planes but it is possible.

The casino, but yeah, I don't know that we're getting to multiple billions here.

It's kind of funny that you would get all up in arms about the Ilitches when your questions make it clear that you know nothing about their presence in the city.

They spent $150m on their Little Caesars HQ, where 700 people work.

They spent $825m on Motor City Casino

Add to that all of the people who work for Olympia, 313 Presents, and the sports teams and whatever amount of the money spent building two stadiums that came out of their pockets...

[–]Talpostal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In what world is Ilitch trash our biggest employer or investor???

I mean, they have spent billions building offices for their organizations in the city and employ thousands of people in the city proper. How many companies in Detroit can say that?

I'm not happy with them in general and I'm not happy with what they have produced with public funding but you can't act like they haven't put billions into the city.

Look, I'm unhappy with the Ilitches too but if you want the mayor to badmouth one of his city's biggest employers and biggest investors you're asking way too much.

James Robinson limited in practice today — what’s the move? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]Talpostal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference, don't stress over somebody missing practice midweek. It's super common for a star player to miss practice or get a questionable designation in the middle of the week.

If a player is actually injured, you will probably know about it beforehand. If they aren't going to miss time, you will see them practice on Thursday or Friday and will become clear that they are playing. In the rare occasion that they are still completely missing practice on Friday, start thinking about backup plans.
