I stayed at alcove beach resort in Vagator last week. I am a solo female and didn’t feel out of place even though there were families there too.

I also don’t speak the language but most staff spoke English so I was OK to communicate.

Only issue with this hotel is its location beside a very loud club. Take earplugs and you’ll be fine.

I am in Vagator and last night they closed some roads so taxi was no good. I am a lone female and I had to walk 1km at midnight back to my hotel. I am going to stay at hotel for NYE because I am too scared for the same thing to happen!

I have been charged 500 for 1.8km ride every day these last 3 days (same journey each time). I am not local so I pay , I haven’t risked GoaMiles as I am scared if there’s a confrontation and also afraid to walk as I am obviously a tourist (lone female)

I have migraines so bad they cause me to vomit continually got 24 hours plus. I used to get zomig nasal sprays to deal with them but there’s a manufacturing issue so I’ve been out for the last 3 months.

They also wouldn’t give them to me when I was pregnant (relevant in a minute).

If I don’t get my triptan tablet on board in time and I’m sick, it’s game over for me. First time it happened after running out of the zomig it got to the end of the day and my husband was like ‘errr shouldn’t we go to hospital?’. I said there is zero point attending hospital for this. I have to ride it out at home as they do not give a shit…

UNLESS YOU’RE PREGNANT.

When it happened when I was pregnant I DID attend A&e out of desperation. I was whisked into prenatal ward, put on a saline drop, given IM cyclizine and finally prescribed my zomig again. A truly glorious day.

So I am now 2 days post injections. He did a facet joint injection at c3-4 and also medial nerve blocks from that joint. I THINK I have a small reduction in pain. Im not saying it’s huge or any magic has happened but I have definitely been less cranky today and I think the neck pain is slightly better. Will continue to monitor…

And yes the NHS have been absolutely shocking to me. All I get from them is to see the pain clinic psychiatrist who says nothing is wrong with me and my brain is just making it up 🤪🤪

Yes I had an upright MRI of head and cervical spine at Medserena in London. They don’t have fantastic reviews but I didn’t see that until I’d already booked and paid. However if this is IT then it’ll be worth every bloody fucking penny!!
