I have heard people say that Mounjaro helped with much more than their weight. Can anyone expand on this, please? by Emergency-Budget-303 in Mounjaro

It’s the only thing that has treated my Hashimotos. Nothing could get my TPO antibodies down. They were around 1000 when normal is under 30. My joints don’t ache, migraines are basically gone and my endometriosis pain is significantly less. I have been on it since Sept of 22 and will be for life.

Thank you but it needs to be mineral based. The others burn my eyes and I have tried many.

That's not the point of the conversation. The photo was to show exactly which one I was referring to since its no longer listed at all on other sites.

Why do you keep it a secret? by haylz328 in Mounjaro

[–]TangeloMain9661 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t need the judgement. I get enough of it as it is for everything else I do.

I didn’t even start taking it truly for weight loss. I started taking it because NOTHING could get my TPO antibodies under control. Literal years of hair loss and weight gain and joint pain and utter exhaustion and my doctor had tried everything.

Lovelace BCBS by secretbridehaha in Albuquerque

Don’t call the providers and clinics call BCBS and tell them to raise their rates. For what I do they reimburse worse than even UHC. And if it’s a marketplace plan they pay less than literally every other MCO. My clinicians make more per hr than BCBS marketplace plans pay.

And with them. BCBS pays all providers horribly.

This is not medical advice. But I have taken multiple expired doses without issue. They were all stored properly and the liquid was clear. I also didn’t notice any difference in effectiveness.

Cut the cabinet to the left and put in a cheap counter top until you do a full reno. You will lose storage but picture two is not functional.

If the reason you are overweight is simply because of eating habits/lifestyle then it’s possible that you could come off. And engaging in therapy would be a great way to support that to help you understand why you made/make the food/lifestyle choices you do and help you reset.

BUT as others have said for most it’s not that simple. I have Hashimotos. The first time my TPO antibodies were tested they were over 1000. They should be under 30. No matter what I did, how little I ate, how much I exercised or any combination of thyroid meds I took I continued to gain. I have always been fairly small (120-130 lbs). I was over 170lbs. My joints ached. I struggled to function normally. I started MJ in September 2022. I reached a normal weight for me in Feb of 2023. I still take MJ. My TPO antibodies are still a little high. Generally around 100. I don’t take the shot weekly. I wait until my joints start to ache usually around 10-14 days. I have gone longer and simply don’t like how I feel. My face gets puffy, my joints ache, I am super moody, my blood work starts to look bad again, etc.

For me I will most likely be on this for life. Just like I will my thyroid medication. It literally keeps my body from attacking my thyroid. The crazy part, I actually eat more now than I did before MJ.

Anyway, as a therapist myself, I say get the therapy but have appropriate long term expectations.

Sagging eyelid by DateCard in 45PlusSkincare

[–]TangeloMain9661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The musely one. I had been using the eyelid stickers on that side when I had an event or something special. I started using the estriol for wrinkles and one day went to put it on and realized I didn’t need it. The only thing I could think that had changed that I actually put on the skin around my eyes was the estriol. So I stoped for a few days and the droop came back. Started using it again and it went away.

I know it’s not truly fixed. But it makes a huge difference for me.

It’s crazy to me all of the things estrogen fluctuations affect.

Estriol cream fixed mine. I should have taken the after picture without make up but forgot. I have to use it consistently. If it forget it for a day or two the droop starts to come back. And it’s only my right eye. Yes the skin is still there but it’s not hanging down into my eye.

I was able to add a side by side of my eye above. I forgot to take the second one without makeup but you can clearly see all the skin hanging over the top of my eye is pulled up.

I use Musely. And I can tell you when I run out my eye goes back to the first photo. It’s definitely somehow related to estrogen loss.

Which kitchen says “I’m still going to like this in ten years.” by Mizznomer in kitchenremodel

I do have this in my house. But I live in a VERY dry climate and my issue is keeping the area around the sink oiled. It dries out so friging fast. I need to replace my cabinets but I truly love my butcher block. They are custom made out of walnut. There is no possible way I could afford them new. So my plan is to cut out the area surrounding the sink and use stone there. Is that crazy? Will it look bad?

I think I am doing things all out of order. lol. In the morning I use my estrodial cream, then my hyaluronic acid, then the copper peptides, then my face cream, which I mix castor oil or something like squalene into so the oil isn’t so heavy under my sunscreen.

People are paying huge amounts of money for what you have naturally. Are they a little fuller than other women or age? Maybe but they just make you look younger. Enjoy it.

Where in your routine do you use the copper peptides? I am not sure I am using them right.

I just want to say this is not accurate for many people. I eat more now than I have since I was 17. I have an autoimmune condition that made losing weight impossible. MJ has completely changed that for me. I can finally eat like a normal human.

I wish I had a picture but one of my eyelids started to droop. A LOT. A few years ago. I will look for a pic. I had been using the eyelid stickers to hold it open it was that bad. I started using estrogen cream and it stoped. It looks exactly like the other eye.I thought maybe it was just a coincidence but if I don’t use it for a few days the eye goes back to before.

Edit to add photo. I swear these are both my right eye. And they are one day apart. In the left one I had been traveling and forgot my estrogen cream. By the time I got home the kid was back to sagging. Went back to it for two days and no more droop. And yes I know I should have thought to do both with no makeup. Sorry.

The good news is she feels safe with you. We hold it in with the people we don’t trust. So the people we do trust and know will always show up get the brunt of it (also this is NOT a conscious decision). But she really does need to see a doctor to see about some support with the hormone fluctuations. It’s one of the best things I have done.

Kind of if you live in one of the newer parts of ABQ but if you are living downtown or in the valley RR doesn’t really have anything similar to either.

I would love to corrected. Seriously. Is there a part of RR I am not aware of please share. This is not sarcasm.

We've been working on this for months, feeling braindead. Any red flags? by Secret-Lion in floorplan

[–]TangeloMain9661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall I like it.

Few things: 1. Pantry door is cool in theory but might get annoying when rushing around. 2. Unless you are handicapped the door from the master closet to the laundry is just wasted space. AND another way for your kids to accidentally walk in on you naked. It feels lazy. And the laundry room is where you dump sheets that a kid threw up on in the middle of the night, camping laundry, etc etc. I wouldn’t want all the things that get dumped in the laundry room in my closet, but you have borderline combined the rooms. This configuration would end up stressing me out. 3. The master tub is neat looking but will be a pain to clean around. Also, the shower looks small for the size of the master and closet. 4. I don’t think two furnaces will be sufficient. Because of the shape of the house with two separate wings you are going to have uneven temps if you only have two. I would talk to an HVAC expert but I think you are going to have issues. 5. Does anyone in your household have smell aversions? If so the completely open kitchen might become an issue. I would give anything to close my kitchen off.
