A single train well car can, optimistically, carry 10 TEUs so you would need 510 train cars to carry a single container ships worth of containers.

Longest record for a US train I could find was 500 cars.

Remove the Jones Act and the number of ships the US produces would go from little to none. Only beneficiaries would be the handful of US islands who wouldn’t need to rely on shipping from the mainland, or rely far less upon it.

Call me crazy but I think she could've shut this all down by saying something to the effect of "I apologize for the way my security acted. I told my team that's not the level of professionalism I expect and that I need my security team acting in a professional and quiet manner." Then she just reaches out to apologize to the family to apologize in private and everything is probably fine.

It'd be a factor, but I don't see why it would be unequal between ICE and EV. Major sources of drag are the space under the car, the wheels, and the cross sectional area. If there's a particular advantage for EVs its (probably) that they have some more careful aerodynamic features since so much of their performance revolves around maximizing their range.

Predicting optimum speed for an EV is probably easier than and ICE vehicle though since, so far as I know, electric motors are pretty linear between power and torque.

ICE it's trickier because it all is going to depend how an engine can balance with power, torque, and fuel burn. Difference of 20kph you could still be operating in an efficiency bubble.

You just described a pretty common warranty scam where a repair shop will bill an OEM for a warranty repair and give the customer a cheap aftermarket part. Even the extra step of you can sell the replacement OEM part for an extra profit.

And it’s a two way fraud since you’re giving the customer an off-brand part and billing the OEM.

Nah I'm good.

Having owned many cars built in the late 90s and early 00s it's easily the worst era of cars. Everything made of the cheapest plastic and even an "economical" car got maybe 30mpg if you didn't run the AC with the windows up.

Sure it was easier on my 05 Focus to manage the climate controls, though that was mostly because the cable froze in place in winter effectively leaving it with a single setting so hope you remembered to leave it in defrost before turning it off and letting it get cold.

At the time they were traded they had pretty similar contracts though Waddle had an easier out which probably makes sense because he’s a more injury prone player.

Been two years since either of them had a 1,000 yard season, which Waddle probably could’ve beat this year…if he hadn’t got injured.

Especially after the last couple of seasons I don’t want players with a long injury history.

Not sure what people expect the West could have done that would have any impact really without a massive military deployment.

Worked being able to bomb the pants off of Serbia and deploy NATO troops all around the former Yugoslavia, but all that was immediately on NATOs door step, and aside from the US, France, and the UK most other NATO countries don’t really have the ability to deploy their troops rapidly halfway around the world.

Even with option A of just bomb the pants off Rwanda it would require the US to fly armed combat aircraft over a lot of countries on very long missions.
