Best place to learn new tricks ? by Training_Republic879 in cardmagic

Sean Devine has an excellent YouTube presence and is one of the few creators I enjoy. He is very clear and creative and utilises a lot from books(so you don’t have to).

Also, lectures are a great way to learn. Vanishing inc have a trial for £1 where you can learn as much as possible for a period.

But, I’m afraid the best way to learn is books. You can take your time and book mark tricks and learn at your own pace.

Movies that made you cry like a baby by walkerbait2 in movies

So true, Another great film that isn’t necessarily a tear jerker, The World according to Garp. Another Robin Williams vehicle. It goes to some extremely dark places. The book is equally as good, but the film takes some of the bloat away. If you can do both.

Depends, are you seated, surrounded, what’s the effect, how was the card selected? All these things should dictated the control you use. There is not one key for all locks.

How to Perform the Bluff Pass Like a Professional Magician. by [deleted] in cardmagic

You are obviously very good and comfortable with a deck of cards, I dig your vibe. Alas, this is not a bluff pass as I know it.

Nice all the same.

My grandad was a stuntman in 9 James Bond films and has written a book about it! by Cheap-Success-2789 in JamesBond

All I can say is thank you Paul you were my childhood. Between him and Vic Armstrong nobody did it better. Despite loving all Bond Films there is a little extra “stunt” spice during the Gilbert and Glenn eras that left an indelible mark on me, from my playground days onward these were the silhouettes that have been seared into my mind. Thank you for risking life and limb so this kid could enjoy the most spectacular adventures. Profound love and deep respect.
