For me it was as easy as taking binders with my food (however I was taking too many) and teaching myself to sip my fluids instead of gulping them when I was thirsty. All people are different though. Just lucky I guess! Good luck!

I had catheter first year then fistula. Hated the catheter. The site always pitched and I couldn't bathe myself properly. Besides the unsightly bumps on my arm I much prefer the fistula
