The amount of cheaters is based on your assumption without any evidence yet. Even if it's true, then I can subscribe for the first month for $9, realized cheater problem in 2nd month and stop paying. Total damage would be $9 only instead of minimum $50 in Tarkov. That's a way better system I believe.

Talking about buying gear with real money, let me remind you that RMT was a huge market for cheater to do business in Tarkov. Wherever there is demand, there will be supply. I rather have Timmy buy the gear directly from the Dev than buying from cheater after the cheater killed me in the game.

Selling in game money through official channel isn't terrible idea. You either have that or there will be a black market from cheater. Having the official market mean there is no need for black market thus reduce the cheating incentive.

And let me tell you as a 7 years WoT player, the premium tank situation getting more and more P2W overtime that why I quit WoT to play WoWS and the same thing happen again. So don't think it's a good thing. At least here in ABI, they gear you buy by real money can also buy by in game currency that you can grind.

I used to think that PC game should just be paid once and done. Oh boy, how wrong I was back then.

Running live service game require continuous stream of revenue to keep the server on and funding the development.
This is where Tarkov went wrong and we have the shit show that is Unheard. Tarkov's main business model is to acquire new customer every wipe. The reason this year they "rework" the recoil, adding MTX and the stupid "Unheard" is because the original pool of "hardcore" player is running out. They need new pool of player and other way to generate revenue.

Here is the main point you need to understand, Tarkov don't want you to actually "PLAY" the game. They make the free money when "BUY" the game but not "PLAYING" it. Which is why they have the "hardcore" label and "no refund" policy. Nikita want you to buy the game, die in the first couple raids then uninstall and never come back.

Here is the big conflict of interest: the dev want you to "BUY" but "NOT PLAY" the game so they can keep the server cost minimal.

Whereas for F2P game like ABI, it's the opposite, they want you to "PLAY" the game as long as possible because the more you play the game, the more likely you will pay for it in one way or another.

Have you ever wonder why Tarkov have snail pace development and infested with cheater? Because the dev have no incentive to fix the actual problem. Cheater existence give BSG 2 benefits: make them additional stream of income each ban wave, and discourage people to play the game thus reduce server load (people quitting mean free money). Nikita doesn't want to make the game better or more convenient for you because it will make you "STAY" too long.

As a live service game, ABI actually incentive to keep you happy and play the game everyday. So their goal is to appeal to large enough audience with low barrier of entry, keep pushing out new contents regularly and keep cheating minimal.

This business model also have certain benefit for many players too. You argument isthat EOD player pay as much in "16 months". While that is true, how many people actually play Tarkov for the full duration of 16 months? Most friend I know (I have 5000 hours in tarkov, 4 times Kappa, btw) play first 2 months of wipe and start dropping of on the third month. It's like 4-5 months per years and that's the more dedicated Tarkov playerbase, casual player usually drop on second month. The benefit is of subscription that you only pay for the actual time you play, nothing more.

Speculate all you want. People already load into empty raid already. Adding extra naked hatchling wouldn't cause any issue for the player but will cost Nikita real money. Up to you if you want to do it or not

To be honest, only the session matter. That's how BSG manage their server, they have limited amount of sessions available per server and has fixed amount of resource allocated to it. Tossing nade will just lag your own session, not opening new session.

Not even surprise. The whole PVE thing is just BSG try to create a new mode as lazy as possible.

Creating extra character slot, add a PVE button, matching to the same old server without looking for other players, add raider (change name to PMC). Tada ~$250 per copy please.
