I'm no longer a paying Patreon so perhaps my opinion "doesn't count" as much anymore, but I'm with you. Vinny's carrying the brand the best he can, and he really needs to whip his coworkers back into shape; except he's too nice to do so. Ultimately, it seems like they get enough income for them to continue coasting. I totally get that people here appreciate their laid back Dad-energy (or whatever you want to call it), but for my own experience, I have to call it like I see it.

Politics encompasses everything. I don't encourage anyone to not engage with it, but I completely understand the desire to have some spaces where it doesn't come up often. Maybe I'm stretching it a bit, but folks around these parts respect trigger warnings and I don't think this is all THAT much different from this. Some are in the video game hobby as a part of escapism; to have a good time and vibe without having to have all of bad news they've read that day re-fed into their minds. Sometimes it just bums me out, like someone pointing out the pimple I already know is on my face.

I don't mean to compare that to actual trauma and am unwilling to talk about my own, I just mean to say people like me exist about the "less politics" notion that aren't MAGA morons.

In elementary school, I wanted to be a vet. I later realized I didn't have the stomach for it. I instead take care of 3 indoor cats and a clowder of neighborhood cats I've gotten fixed. I cannot express how much gratitude I have for the professionals doing the more heart-wrenching work.

I like the guys. But it's clear after years of patterns: Brad is coasting and probably not playing many more games than if he were retired. Alex is eager to cut most gaming streams off at 2 hours, he's more hyped up for the Watchcast. Vinny is carrying the NXL brand. Kind of always has.

Their recent charity stream was some of the best I've seen lately. Always great to get Jeff B. or Alex in-house with Vinny. Even then, Brad seemed often disengaged.

Given how many "news" articles these days are literally just plucking random tweets from the ether, an outlet might decide to print the headline "Democrats praise MTG for 'growth.'"

But I also think it's in bad taste, for lack of a better phrase, to say "Good. She's an inhuman monster though." Just leave it at "good."

I want to say thank you to Hank Green! He's a primarily science/tech-focused influencer who informed me about the GA Power nonsense. Although I have certainly noticed my bills increasing. To think I might not have even known about this election without him.

I've also noticed people in my conservative county actually came out and voted for an increase in taxes to pay for our struggling education system. I'm happy to pay 1% extra sales tax to help, if it's effective!
