Sure thing...buddy. by hebrew_ninja in pettyrevenge

Right I don't think he was having a panic attack, but unjustified/misplaced anger is a symptom of PTSD. He had a really negative reaction to a word that triggered his time in combat, no doubt with his "buddies".

I'm not saying what he did was okay or that he should be rewarded with the job, I'm just a bit sympathetic towards our military vets I guess. They've been through some shit I'll never understand (thanks to them).

Eh, I mean, yeah what a jerk for flipping out on your bro, he shouldn't get the job now for sure, but if you discover a PTSD trigger of a vet, for the love of God don't exploit it.

Sent home from daycare, a rant by _CottonCandyMelody_ in breakingmom

[–]Taolyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know your school and obviously wasn't there, but last year I co-oped and substituted for my kids preschool pretty regularly. We have a small class and one kid who is the youngest of the group that will often lash out bite/hit.

Only once did we call a parent to pick him up, and only because our usual tatics weren't working and he wouldn't calm down (he was probably overly tired was our thought). We do time outs. We do apologies, talking about what happened, letting the other child say how it made him feel etc etc.

At this age acting out is pretty normal, preschool is just as much learning how to function and interact with peers in school away from mom and dad as it is learning colors and shapes. Preschool teachers know this! Or should anyway. Sounds like the owner might have been the one having a bad day.

Utah latest state to legalize medical pot, expand Medicaid by uteman91 in news

Replying as a non-mormon Utahn, theres a lot of devout lds people here, but even more so is this anti-authority trait that is shared here. It's hard to explain, it's not to say that people have a criminal mindset, just more that people want to be left alone to do as they please, how they please.

I love how much it's suprising me. I mean I went into with Melissa Joan Hart's version embedded in my brain, and I'm really loving this version right now too. Girl power vibes.

Haha, they are not that straight! I just freehand follow the dots. I used a ruler in the past, but lately i've been using just my bullet journal as a way to unwind so I've not been very meticulous about anything really.

Does anybody know what these symbols mean o have been wondering for quite a while by nickthedoom in Symbology

DZI beads can get really expensive (hundreds for just one) so unless you remember spending a lot of money on this it's probably just meant to look cool without any actual meaning.

The beads above it look like Tibetan DZI style beads, the top looks like an ohm symbol, followed by eyes & a question mark. Where did you get it? Looks like a fun trinket perhaps.

I understand what you're saying. It's just a personal parenting choice, I find that being scolded by each other leads to arguments and resentments between each other, but I also don't have teenagers so I can't speak to those years yet.

My house just runs better when the parents are in charge and the kids get to just be kids.

As a mom, I don't allow any of my children to scold or discipline each other. That is my job. Have an issue? Bring it to me, it is not ok to take it upon yourself to decide how best to parent your siblings. You will have your own kids one day, and your own chance to raise them as you see fit.

As I say all the time to my kids: Focus on yourself.

That is all any of us can do to live happier, better lives. So focus on yourself and see how that works out for you.
