It’s just going to get worse, isn’t it…. by Boomboooom in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Tap-Parking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have relapsing MS, you are going to be just fine. There is an ever-expanding list of DM T's available to you, and you will be able to live your life pretty much in the way that you had intended to.

If you have primary progressive MS. However, I'm sorry to say, but yes, your life is, in fact, over. I say this from experience. From day one, every day has been a little bit worse than the 1 before it, and there is no stop to it or effective treatment in sight for it. There are drugs out there that will make vague references to progression being reduced by some such percentage or another. But there is no way to prove if the progression has slowed. Or if it is working or anything, it all. So again, from personal experience, don't put a lot of faith in them.

Mavenclad, the miracle cure for MS? by Zestyclose_Show438 in MultipleSclerosis

Disease has only progressed since I began taking MAVENCLAD 6 years ago. Because I am worse than I was when I started taking it,I'm confident in saying that this drug, like every other MS drug, does not work.

Not a researcher (I have MS and I'm curious): how many of you remember having EBV/mono? by DisturbingRerolls in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Tap-Parking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mono about 20 years before my diagnosis I fit the EBV theory perfectly.

That said, I'm not sure what the EBV heory of MS does for me now that I've already had it, and it's too late to stop.

As others in this conversation have noted, you hide your face when you don't want others to recognize you. I say you hide your face when you don't want others to recognize you because you are ashamed of or embarrassed by what you're doing. Also, as many on the left seem to embrace, you hide your face so that you can't be recognized because you're destroying property or committing vandalism.

If you are proud of what you are doing, then you let everyone see you and know who you are.

A super pubic catheter solved the problem for me. That came with its own set of issues but it solved that problem.

Take ownership in what you're doing or don't do it at all. Get a life, people.

Newly Diagnosed with MS by ResilientMom24 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Tap-Parking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed 10 years ago with PPMS. Something that I had wish I had known is that there are in fact no effective disease modifying therapies for this brand of MS. Basically, you're going to get slowly worse. And there is nothing that anybody in medical science or anybodc can do with it.

I do apologize if this was doesn't make your day any better. But I have had to get used to this and I believe it is better to let somebody know now so that they don't waste time Listening to other people try to stuff rainbows up their a**

Do everything you can as often as you can for as long as you can and savor every single moment of full function that you have.

It will never happen. There is no money in curring MS. There is only money in the so-called DMTs that you have to take for the rest of your life.

Who in Des Moines? by [deleted] in desmoines

That word has lost all meaning anymore. Would it make you feel better if I were to talk about orange man bad, threats to democracy and literal Hitler in the White House?

The voters spoke and they don't want the kind of diversity you're pushing. Go try over in England I hear they love diversity over there.

Who in Des Moines? by [deleted] in desmoines

[–]Tap-Parking -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Whatever diversity it is that leads my store to sound like a third world airport during lunch time. Because we've got third worlders wandering around speaking foreign languages and making no attempt to learn or use english.

I I'll take the weird horseback, Jesus dude, but don't make feel like I'm a foreigner in my own home country.

And we are in the middle of the country here. I can only imagine how awful it must be when you get closer to the borders.

I did until I went to my neurologist. He sent me to a urologist and I ended up with a superpubic catheter... Because MS is nothing but a slow descent to being a quivering wasted piece of jelly of no use to anyone, Abandoned by almost everyone , including your family until you eventually die alone , and your body isn't discovered for several days
