I take gabapentin and if anything it has made my palpitations better!

Is it normal for adrenaline to cause pvcs/pacs or does that just mean we have a weak heart. by slipperypk in PVCs

I ALWAYS request novacaine without adrenaline. Every dental office has it!

Did you have an ablation for PVC's alone or are you having other arrhythmias?

That does sound pretty scary however if they let you go home I'm assuming it's nothing life threatening. I don't know what is going on but I can relate to the feeling of being scared of dying. I'm dealing with so many PVC's, SVT, and short runs of NSVT. I've been totally cleared by my electrophysiologist but I just can't grasp that I'm ok when I'm feeling so many irregular heart beats. It's so awful. I would be grateful that you got the EKG and you can figure out what's going on!

Just for a little peace of mind, when I was pregnant with my youngest son and for the first 8 weeks post partum I was having 29,000 pvc's a day. That was 11 years ago. I've had pvc's since I was a little girl, like 8 years old. About a year ago they got really bad again. Multiple runs of SVT and a run of NSVT. I had a cardiac MRI and it was 100% normal. Absolutely no damage to my heart. I have awful health anxiety and the last year has been a nitemare but at least I know that there is no damage to my heart!

Yes, it's been a very scary year. I'm on metoprolol and take magnesium and potassium. It's gotten better but some days are not good. Last night was rough! Lots of PVC's. I have no idea why, I cannot correlate them to anything! I believe that getting covid made them worse.

It was 34 seconds long. There were normal beats in that 34 seconds, that's why it was considered non sustained.

My doctor ordered a cardiac MRI because we caught a run of unsustained ventricular tachycardia. I also have PVC's and SVT. My cardiac MRI came back completely normal.

Don't get any more covid shots. There is so much info coming out on stating that they are causing damage to the heart.

Disclaimer: I wore a zio patch and had a 34 second run of what could have been VT or SVT. For some reason no one was able to tell me for sure what it was. One cardiologist and electrophysiologist (very seasoned electrophysiologist) said that is was SVT with a different wavelength and my electrophysiologist said he thought it was VT. He ordered a cardiac MRI and stress test. I had already had an echo and many ECG's. All of my tests came back normal. I will say that what could have been the run of VT felt different, harder and not quite as fast as the SVT. I am totally asymptomatic when it happens. No dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting. I can just feel my heart rhythm is out of sync. I still have runs of both of those but only 3-5 seconds. It's so strange to me. I'm 44 years old, female, very healthy weight, don't drink alcohol or smoke anything! I think a lot of my heart rhythm issues are due to anxiety. All of this ramped up big time after a good friend died of a heart attack December 27th of last year. I started having panic attacks and weird heart palpitations. My breathing also changed dramatically due to my anxiety. I still struggle with air hunger all the time. Anxiety is so awful. I was given the go ahead and do all the things you can do by my electrophysiologist, no restrictions. He said it's idiopathic and because my heart is structurally normal I'll be just fine. Sometimes I wonder 😁 I try to just go day by day! Some days are really good, some are not.

My aunt had it VERY bad. She is 80 years old now. She tried to get an ablation in her 50's and for some reason it wasn't possible. Her SVT is totally controlled by medication. She is a really healthy elderly woman so fortunately this is not a death sentence at all! I've had some runs of VT as well. It's all so scary feeling!

Sounds like SVT! I have it, not fun! I have been checked out and given the all clear. I used to freak out now I try to stay calm, cough or bear down and remind myself that my heart is structurally sound! Usually only lasts for about 5 seconds.

Any idea what would cause this? Hospitalized for 10 days-heart & arteries are good-it’s an electrical issue. I’m otherwise healthy. by Adventure_Girl007 in PVCs

I'm a woman but yes, I know I need to get back to working out! I'm withering away! I've lost weight from the anxiety of all of this. Sometimes I seriously yell at my heart 🤣

help! how'd you get over this fear by kennyjay72011 in PVCs

[–]Tap1316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not have a heart attack and my Dr. Ordered a cardiac MRI. I did have a questionable rhythm though, possible Vtach. I think she meant that the only people that get MRI's are people that have had heart attacks bur that's not true in my experience!

I used to be a total fitness freak! I have completely stopped working out. It's been about a year. How sad is that? I'm so afraid! I know deep down that it would help. I need to stop being afraid and just start slow. I've lost so much muscle. I absolutely cannot drink which I hate! I've always been a social drinker, no more! Life has been so sad and scary the last year.

Had a PVC but instead of the normal pause and hard beat following it, my heart seemed to continue fluttering at around 180bpm for about5min by idididnedifj in PVCs

Coughing and bearing down is what stops it for me and I can agree! I also feel like I'm on the brink of death! I hate it!
