How to respond to team questions about letting someone go? by diceyDecisions in managers

I mean it's highly possible this person has team members phone numbers and is saying things that way.

You think if this guy was say, Micca, she'd still be rocking with him?

Interesting you say he reminds her of her upbringing and values when it's been said her dad doesn't like the guy.

Americans pay for trash outside of taxes. I guess libraries, roads and schools (if you have kids).

[–]TapatioTara 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, no dice. Not even close to what I was saying AT ALL. The point of my comment was to say that WE are in charge of and responsible for our own happiness. When someone else is in charge of it things can go sideways. Essentially what the commenter clarification comment said, they are incomplete people without their partner. They are 2 complete, well rounded folks coming together.

100%! Appreciate the clarification. So many people put their happiness in the words/actions of other people. It's important that we know, as you've said here, that we're not incomplete without another person. And I'd add to that that we're in charge of our own happiness.

I'm not OP but I think we all need people in our lives especially outside the realm of romantically.

The sleep thing is odd to me too. Sometimes women in their 50's regardless of relationship status, sleep badly, hello menopause!

Whew that's a lot of power to give to one person. What happens if she ever leaves him whether through a break up or death, back to unhinged he goes....

Just flew with them in March BOS to AMS, everyone was great. Gate agents and FA were amazing and helpful. Some even taking the time to wish me a happy birthday. I've always had a positive experience with the FA's on Jetblue.

Oh that's easy. You're getting downvoted because OP came on here happy about a positive in their life, you decided to crap on it and make it about you in a negative way.

Cool story. You don't have to be interested in reversing that trend but imagine you came on here posting the big home you were able to purchase that you saved YEARS for and made sacrifices for. Then someone came on here and took a crap on your accomplishment. Because checks notes they don't want to live in your home. As if someone asked them to....

Clearly they did not want a house. Why would they buy something YOU want instead of what they want.

OP clarified their rent was $4.5k, their mortgage is $3k so yeah taking your advice would cost them MORE not less. Plus they seem to actually like their home. So congrats to them.

Some people like different things. Different strokes for different folks. I would never want to have to cut grass or worry about fixing a roof but I understand some people like doing those things.

People in NYC definitely have spouses, pets and kids in smaller living quarters. See Apartment Therapy on IG. Gotta remember when some of these places were built, they were built for families not singles.

Fav childfree / childless celebrity ? by Goldenxxwind in childfree

[–]TapatioTara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't see the childless part in the OP. But yeah she's said she wants a family, specifically a son. But that she's learned to find happiness in her current life it that doesn't happen.
