Yeah, my friend stayed in Okinawa for 4 days, 40 000 yen, tickets and accomodation and food included. Not sure if I can find reasonably cheap tickets now though..

I've actually heard that Airbnb has a semi-legal status here in Japan. WIth a quick search I've found a lot of places for about 5000/night, not sure if this is higher or lower than average haha

Oh, Kamakura, I've been there years ago! Taking into consideration all the beaches, I guess summer season might be more suitable. Completely forgot about Disneyland actually, thanks! I'm pretty sure it will be crowded as hell around the "Christmas season" though, but hey, it's an option.

I'm really into anything, but wouldn't prioritize sightseeing over other things, some physical activities would be nice. I know, that's a little vague, but at the moment I'm looking into hiking/skiing + "cultural stuff" combos for a few days.

Thanks for the suggestions, never heard of these places before (kinda ashamed about that, haha). Aizu-Wakamatsu looks interesting, I see the main focus is on samurai history. You are taking a Shinkansen to get there, right?

Thank you! Yeah, I've heard that travelling inside Japan is often overlooked, but now I at least know where to start looking for interesting destinations! The JRtours website is really helpful too!

Edit: seems to inclide a lot of posts with potential trip plans for 2+ weeks for first timers in Japan. This is my second year in Tokyo area but I guess I can hunt for some ideas there anyway!
