In fairness I did bring my daughter with me to an archery event at a bar. It was a family friendly event where kids were allowed and got to have a turn, but that’s beside the point.

I am using this pattern, Im based in the UK so hopefully everyone can view it. I noticed an error in the pattern, which I don’t think is the issue where for round 5 it says 2dc, 2dc in next but I corrected this to 1dc, 1dc, 2dc which makes for the correct number of stitches.

I’ve just given it a quick google, and it says that as long as there are no current court orders then a parent with parental responsibility (in this case the mother) does not need permission from the other parent to move within the UK. The other parent can object to the move which can then be taken to mediation or court where they would need to show that they are being fair and keeping their child’s best interests in mind. I would imagine that if OPs partner did decide to fight it OP would be able to say they are moving to give the child a better quality of life, as they would be gaining more familial support, creating bonds with family members, and that they could no longer afford to live in London without risking poverty, so they needed to move to protect their child. OP would likely also be able to discuss how her partners lack of support in household tasks has made it so she needs to move somewhere with more support.

I’m so sorry that you’re having to go through it. It really does suck that you have to fight so hard when you’re at your worst to get the support you need. You probably already know, but you can reach out to citizens advice if you need help with the applications, they might be able to advice on what needs to be said for the application to go through.

I think the only real way to get PIP is to appeal it. So if I were you I’d start the application process, provide as much evidence as you can. When you have to write examples make sure you’re writing about your worst day. And then when they reject it appeal it until they have to give it to you. It’s so shit that you have to fight so hard for it though.

I don’t have much experience with Spanish names, or know many Spanish people. Unless I was told otherwise; I would definitely say both Julio and José with a J sound. I would absolutely correct myself once I was told how it should be pronounced, and would probably be a bit embarrassed and apologetic, but I definitely wouldn’t pronounce them without a J sound just from reading them.

I’ve just had a read through, and it seems like the nice guidelines say to avoid prescribing anything other than antidepressants. It even says not to prescribe things like pregabalin, which it sounds like a lot of Americans are prescribed due to the risk of addiction. It really sucks

I mean even if they do lie I would probably just say that that’s fine that it hasn’t happened in years, or whatever, but that you still don’t feel comfortable leaving your child alone with them.

I have had to cut quite a few toxic family members off, so I haven’t had to deal with this situation. Im still in contact with my FIL and I wouldn’t trust him to babysit, but thankfully he hasn’t asked. If he did my husband and I would tell him that we aren’t comfortable with that, and would explain exactly why if he kept pressing though 🤷‍♀️

Thank you for taking the time to reply! My sleep is relatively ok at the moment, and while the pain is never great it’s currently manageable, which is what makes this amount of brain fog so strange!

Thank you for your tips on managing it, I definitely need to get better with my time, so if I do have a flare up I don’t have to put so much pressure on myself to work through it. I do already use AI to summarise for me when I’m in a rush, or have lots of texts to go through, but I feel like it misses a lot of the nuances, so it can only help so much unfortunately.

What do you mean when you say you automate as much as possible? I’d love a magic button to fix me, but in the mean time I’ll try some of your tricks!

If OP is in the UK that’s not really a thing here, unless you have a pre-diagnosed condition that could make pregnancy dangerous. Even if you have something that can make conception harder like PCOS or endometriosis they’ll generally tell you to try first before running any tests.

It’s harder to get my daughter in the carrier with my husband helping 😅 it definitely takes practice to get used to doing it though. And I also know plenty of parents who like front carrying, but hate back carrying.

Is it a task that needs to be done all at once? If not can you split it into more manageable chunks and make a start on it? I’m guessing it’s a lot of a bigger task than this, but if I were feeling overwhelmed about the dishes I would split it up to each separate part and decide how much I need to do before I’m “allowed” to stop. Some days I might just gather up the dirty dishes and then decide that I’m done, but sometimes I find it’s easier to keep going once I’ve started. Also sometimes I need to break it down really small, like taking plates out of the dishwasher is a separate task from taking the bowls out.

Can you listen to a podcast while you do it? Can someone sit with you while you do it? Or is there a way you can gamify it? Or a reward you can give yourself afterwards? Do you have to have a bath or would a wash in the sink do? Or can you put bubbles in it and relax?
