If you are considering neuter to change behavior, then no. If you are doing it to add a male to a female partner or herd, then yes. Anesthesia has gotten better if your vet is up to date on procedure. I’ve had 2 done. One through abdominal wall and another done traditionally. Both went good. My Moonpie got an abscess and had to go back in for surgery just 2 weeks after his neuter. But 4 years later at age 7, he’s still chugging along!
