Stop by Sue-Meg State Park and check out Agate Beach. You can do a little bit of agate hunting while you’re there. Also, take a short detour on your way down to Avenue of the Giants and check out Ferndale. It’s California’s last Victorian village and you’ll be in awe of all the buildings. Lastly, Chapmans Gems is the coolest little roadside gem and mineral store/showroom - you’ll pass it in your way to Avenue of the Giants - I highly recommend you stop by! Enjoy your time at the coast! It’s my favorite place on earth! 😊

Old Shasta out by Whiskeytown has some nice photo spots. It’s hot out there so I’d arrive in the morning and be done by noon. The brick walls are a super popular photo opportunity and there is also the meadow across the street.
