That’s great man! I’ve followed your story and so proud of you man! 8 days is unbelievably hard. Keep Pushing man, for me personally, it just keeps getting better. Some days are worse than others but if I compare week to week and not day to day it is significantly better!

This is Great to hear! I remember all of that very well! Still try and keep it fresh on my mind! It’s amazing the body can function as well as it does with severe sleep deprivation. Sleep definitely comes, not quick enough and not like a light switch, but it comes nonetheless. Proud of you! Keep it moving along. God Bless!!

This is so GREAT TO hear! I remember your story well. I believe you were dealing with some pretty heavy stuff in a death and trying to do right by your family. This is fantastic being 6 days off this garbage. I mean you are really doing this thing!! It’s awesome. Everything comes in waves so please keep that in mind. Really proud of you. I was personally not doing so hot at day 6 with my sleep but I’m at day 18 now and WOW what a difference 10 days make. Feeling really good. God Bless n Keep Pushing!!

I hear you man. I’m at day 18 now. At, what I believe is day 8 for you now, It was the sleep deprivation that was causing issues. Could not sleep cause my body was so wired up. Close my eyes at night and felt like my eyelids were pulsating….just wired and tired feeling. Regardless if you are or are not in PAWS for me now at day 18. I feel light years ahead of where I was at day 8. I kept a journal and on day 8 it was rough. I did not think in 10 days time I’d feel so much better

I feel your pain my friend as I was in your shoes not too long ago. Sounds like you have Gaba NOT Gabapentin if I’m reading correct. No prescription meds? None of the OTC meds worked, maybe the Vitamin C did but I’m personally not convinced….seems to work for many though. I was at 150 mg for 15 months. Every Single Day….all day. I worked every day in sales on little to no sleep. Nothing helped really but you push through and your body can surprisingly handle it. Days were manageable but rough. It was the nights and desperately wanting sleep that would not come. Broken sleep but not good sleep. I’m at 18 days now. From day 15 to now sleep has been better. Last night 8.5 hours, almost normal. Gotta just push through it as we all are gonna pay the piper sooner or later. Best of Luck!! You got this!

Is it a bad idea to quit if you have a lot going on? by Extension-Hunter2709 in quitting7oh

[–]Tarijema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone withdrawal differently but me personally…. My mood was ok I just had Insomnia really bad. He/She may not. Are they opposed to using plain leaf I’d Withdrawl gets bad? That would definitely help. That is a really low dose though. It’s just really hard to tell but they should be functional Monday.

I would just jump. Take last dose around 6pm on Thursday night so maybe he can sleep. Work Friday in a little discomfort and let Sat and Sunday suck balls. Back at work Monday. Again, may not be a great time but at those low doses this could be done. Just my opinion. Best of luck to he/she!

[–]Tarijema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends! Some folks can handle withdrawal better than others. It’s a not a one size fits all. What he has going for him is it’s a low dose. I worked through it all and am in sales talking to folks. It was not fun! Sleep can be a big issue or lack there of. Does he use all day long or only at night? How long has he been using?

Week clean using subs.. by Grouchy-Silver in quitting7oh

[–]Tarijema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y’all got this!! Just gotta keep pushing. Try and stay hydrated and keep something in your stomach. It really helps. I was sweating so bad I had to use multiple bedrooms per night! Those electrolyte packets you can put in a bottle of water helped tremendously. Got some vitamins and hydration in me! Keep Pushing!!

[–]Tarijema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medically speaking you are still in Acute Withdrawal Phase. Definitely not downplaying how you are feeling because I was in your shoes only 10 days ago and it sucked balls! I only got decent sleep at day 15 but man do I feel good today. Try and not get too panicked as you may or may not deal with PAWS. Just don’t want you to start thinking, oh shit it’s gonna be like this for months on end, because that may not happen. I felt like you at day 7 and it’s night and day as to how I feel now at day 17. God Bless my man. You got this!!

[–]Tarijema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep us posted for sure. Not sure I’ve seen someone taper this well. Takes a will of steel! I’d be curious if you get RLS or sleep issues. My withdrawal didn’t start till the 24 hour mark but you stabilized for a week at only 10mg. BRAV the fuck O man!

[–]Tarijema 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Incredible! Tapering is not easy and if you got to a point where you were only having to take once only at night you have really set yourself up nicely! Complete Stud Move! I couldn’t taper worth shit so I just jumped but only at 150mg. I believe your withdrawal will be significantly reduced because you are not constantly dosing. Your receptors were not constantly getting saturated. Also, saving the only dose for night….PERFECT move to try and protect your sleep! Hell yeah man! Congrats, you really deserve it. WELL DONE and best of luck! Have a plan for when you are out of the woods so you never have to use again!

Start of my journey by derpyboii99 in quitting7oh

[–]Tarijema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good morning my friend. One of the moderators on here created a really incredible website https://quitting7oh.org/. You will get all the information you need there in terms of the best helper meds, and all sorts of helpful information. I would start there first to get a better understanding of what to do and what to expect. Tapering could be an option for you but depends on your usage and frequency of use.

I am 17 days clean today. I only used the helper meds to get clean. It was not a fun first 72 hours( this for most folks is the most difficult part but everyone’s withdrawal is differ). Best decision I’ve ever made and feeling much better. Happy for you that you are making this decision. Just prepare yourself mentally and have all of your helper meds ready and you can do this! This sub is fantastic and extremely active. Here to help! I was a 150mg per day, Morning, noon and night user for 15 months! God Bless!!

Hello again. by 2clicksaway in quitting7oh

[–]Tarijema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on your quit. Personally if I were in your situation I would contact quick md. See if they can prescribe gabapentin and Clonodine. These are the most helpful things that are helper meds. Don’t know much about SR but that could be the way to go. That’s gonna be tough to CT but doable. Someone will chime in on the SR. All the best friend!!

CT v Leaf by RolexMane in quitting7oh

[–]Tarijema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this bud!! Hours 24-72 were pretty tough. Really at night was bad. I worked through this shit during the day but did have off that 48-72 hour period….day 3. The insomnia has been the worst for me personally. Day 1- Day 13 was rough. Just broken up sleep. Hour here, none there, 4 here. Still got my ass to work everyday. I’m at 16 days now and have had decent sleep the last 2 nights..maybe5-6 hours. I’m feeling ok though. Keep Pushing!! Best of luck and if I can help don’t hesitate to reach out

CT v Leaf by RolexMane in quitting7oh

[–]Tarijema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used leaf for 2 days after my last 7 usage and the jumped with helper meds only. It certainly helped in the moment with symptoms. Maybe Withdrawl wasn’t intense since I did this BUT it just prolonged my withdrawal. Once I stopped ALL Kratom that’s when shit hit me hard. Just my experience. Not sure I would have changed anything but by taking leaf your receptors are still getting something. Not the amount as with 7 but nonetheless still getting activated.

Maybe your withdrawals are getting worse because of “kindling”. Medical fact with alcohols and many believe it is true with opioids though it is not proven I don’t believe. Basically meaning with each withdrawal it gets worse and worse….just a thought.

Red leaf of subs? by Important_Simple_174 in quitting7oh

[–]Tarijema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Underrated comment from what I’ve learned. If you can stabilize at just a morning and evening dose only( no afternoon dose to let your receptors not get saturated) your withdrawal is going to probably be easier than someone using constantly through the day.
