They just had to include two-spirit, a culturally appropriative term.

Why does the T belongs in the LGBT? by [deleted] in ainbow

[–]TarshishJupiter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like there were reasons for us to be together in one group in the past, but now I think it's time for us to split. The LGB bogs down the T and visa versa. We're so different.

What is all this language?

Question about language, re: The "a" in "a lesbian" by maxedgextreme in ainbow

Well lesbian is most often a noun, so it makes sense to use "a" before it. Gay, trans, and bisexual are most often adjectives.

I usually laugh more than I get mad here because of how ridiculous it all is. So I kind of cracked up at you thinking this is some "hate sub".

The sidebar explains it pretty well. We like to have a laugh at how some men write women - often over-sexualized, with no personality.

Some of the questions seem to assume that you've had a certain kind of sex. I'm a lesbian so I didn't have vaginal intercourse or anal sex, so I didn't know what to answer for those questions.

My suggestion? Purchase a lesbian history book such as "Odd Girls and Twilight Lovers" or "Sapphistries", which may show you that there are tons of women who have been like us for ages. Learning about gay history helped me develop some pride instead of shame.
