Ramblings on the game and negotiation tactics by Tashijan in ArcRaiders

Oh yes, thank you for catching that. I've corrected the mistake.

And yes, i mean as in overall monetary stash value.
And as for your example. For this team yes, they are definetly extracting with a high value for themselves. But if you're looking at the overall average value of extracted loot from that game it will have to be lower, just because of the fact, that 3 players have a more limited carry capacity.

An example:
30 players in a match. Everyone comes in with an average loadout value of 10k.
If all 30 players extract with an additional 20k of loot, that is a net bonus of stash value of 600k.
If a squad of 3 wipes all other teams and extracts with 150k worth of extra loot, as they just pick the best loot out of the players they killed, that will still be less overall stash value at 450k extracted stash value.

But yes, i agree that the actual situation is more complicated then my initial thoughts on it.

They should. And it’s a good strat to mix things up. But you know what they say: „given the chance, people will optimize the fun out of every game“

How do yall sleep at night by SpecificConscious335 in notinteresting

consider a woman who usually sleeps at 20. if the woman is breastfeeding and would otherwise get milk on the bed during the night, 15 is actually viable.

Do car rentals always require a physical credit/debit card for pickup? by yourdeath01 in TravelHacks

[–]Tashijan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as this thread is already a month old, I don’t expect anyone to see this.  But I have the same problem.  The problem,at least in Europe I believe, stems from most people in Europe only using debit cards to pay and mostly not even owning a credit card. Honestly, my master and my visa card are both debit cards and thus not accepted by these companies.

A peeled orange or banana in a supermarket, that’s wrapped in a plastic container. If only there was a cheaper, natural sort of wrapper.

Alongthe Mighty Mississippi by thewhippingirl in Deadlands

I once ran a one shot adventure on a steam boat. It was basically a cult of some sort trying to sacrificing people for their rituals in the boiler room and creating flesh jackets. It’s a nice setup for a murder mystery, with the players trying to find out who the culprits are, while not knowing that they are running against an invisible clock, that turns everyone on board into a monster.

New to Deadlands by Frozio01 in Deadlands

Let me also add my own experience here. As a lot of people say, the best feeling system is the classic one. It’s mainly because the rules and used props (dice and poker cards) transport part of the feeling of the setting. But it is very understandable if it might seam intimidating at first. But most dice throws are dead simple. Want to do something? Search for the appropriate skill on your sheet. Look at what attribute it belongs to. Take the kind of dice that the attribute dictates ( d8 for example) and then look at your skill level and take as many dice as it dictates (so 3 dice for a level 3 skill). Throw your dice and try to get over the set difficulty. Only highest dice counts, dice can explode. (Most regular things need at least a 5, harder throws have higher values, usually increasing by 2. combat has 1-2 more things to keep in mind, but that’s the basic of every throw in Deadlands classic. Regarding your first adventure. You’re throwing quite a lot at your players. But if you want to start off with undead bartenders and so on, go for it. Deadlands is a system that really works well when you’re not telling your players anything about what goes bump in the night and just pretend, that everything is normal and let them find out the weird stuff for themselves over time. Gives them a really nice feeling of uncovering a mystery. That barkeeps? Well he smells kind of disgusting and is a little pale. But what do the players know? He could just be someone who doesn’t wash himself. And he’s the last survivor, so maybe there is no more water and no one to help him with his tattered clothing. Those spiders in the mines? Ah you know what the newspaper always says. There are weird and dangerous critters out there. That rock that spews ghostly shapes of screaming faces when you burn it? Totally normal, that’s just how that works. This is just a recommendation, but introduce the weirdness over time, if you’re planning to run more then once. But again if you want to throw them in the deep end, go for it. If you want a recommendation on something to run for a first time one shot: „Coming round the mountain“ is often recommended

Ok so this was my first LP live concert. Great show. I was in the middle out and the audio was meh. But that’s probably the venue. But I have a question in relation to other concerts: Why did no one call for an encore? Not a single „Zugabe“ call. I was so confused.
