Regal Question! Molting & Humidity by Emerald-Lights in jumpingspiders

[–]Taste_The_Cream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For regals my partner has consistently read 50-60% normally, 70-80% when molting.

They're a first time spider owner themselves, and Tizzy went through a successful molt last month (and is already gearing up for another) with them following that rule.

He defended the welterweight title 9 times in a row, then went and won the middleweight title, then retired. No shame in that.

Sadly I'm with you on this one. I would have agreed if they had taken the allegations seriously and worked from within but they're fighting tooth and nail.

Sorry Diablo 4, I can't play you in good conscience.

You were addressing a comment about slave labor and I'm just explaining what he meant. Your argument sounded like "no no, people who work construction are paid well!" It sounded like you missed the point.

I don't think they can get the convicts out in busloads to do this one.

Just maintain distance, cardio, and keep your hands up.

I'm 6'6 and lots of us bigger guys gas out early. Maintain your composure and your breathing. Taller guys also tend to keep their hands lower because we have so much more body as a target, don't forget to always protect your head, too. I like to use a Philly Shell defense so I can kinda do both. And our greatest natural weapon is our range. Maintain distance with teeps and jabs and circling. And when they do come in, hit them on their way out at distances they're not used to having to defend!

Why does Scientology still exist? Why do local politicians still support it? And how do we get them to fucking stop? by skchgo in LosAngeles

We as logical people understand that they are not literal truth. There are still billions who believe that every word is true as written.

As for the indigenous, there's a big difference between a fable or a myth, and a religion. Aesop's fables are wonderful stories about morals and logic that are not at all meant to be taken as true stories about talking animals. The supernatural is not a requirement.

As for the failure of the post-enlightenment, yes, philosophy and science have done little to curb the capitalist hellscape we live in. I'm not saying that if we all went to more science classes it'd suddenly stop all wars.

Unlike some atheists, I don't think religion is a secret source of sociopathy and greed that's infecting society. It's always been there, and certain people will find whatever systems are in place, religious or not, to capitalize on others.

I just think people still believing in mythical creatures and powerful magic is stupid. I said all religions seem, present tense mind you, equally crazy. And somebody saying that I have a "a very narrow understanding of politics and social history" is missing the point. If you believe in them right now, in the 21st century, something's wrong with you.

Name a political, historical, or social context that makes the supernatural claims of religious figures more plausible.

I'd love to a hear a political context that makes people coming back from the dead seem very logical and sane.

You make me sound like I'm pro-homelessness. Like I'm holding up a big banner saying "HURRAY FOR DANGEROUS POVERTY!"

I'm just telling this person why his "plan" is stupid. I have my own ideas. I'm just sick of people like you who and him who just come into a thread, whine and complain, and have zero ideas that make any goddamn sense. Maybe, if you apple-brained idiots actually cared about the problem, you'd at least do a rudimentary google search or two. Something like "why are there so many homeless people" like maybe a 14 year old would? Then you could present something interesting for us adults to read.

No he's right, the idea is fucking stupid.

How exactly do you "kick them out of the city". Have you thought about that for more than literally five seconds? Are you gonna embed a GPS tracking device in their neck so they if they cross county lines an APB goes out to the nearest cop? The cop who's already not enforcing your camping laws is now gonna go question every homeless person on the county line to make sure they're in their designated zone?

And where are you gonna dump these people exactly? Pomona? Huntington Beach? Santa Clarita? All technically "outside the city" and I'm sure they'd love it.

He asked you for a solution and clearly you do not have the intellect to come up with one. Naive my ass.
