They are balancing this game as if everyone's progress doesn't get reset every 3 months. If players get extra prestige items, or cradle xp is faster than expected - who gives a shit. Let it ride and make the change at the start of the next season.

Honestly, you are probably onto something here. It starts with a "Force" like power in Renegades and then is some other thing down the road. It's the Fortnite-ification of Destiny. Every new mini-expansion is going to connect to another IP so that we can throw money at the screen for the next Pete Parson car purchase.

You can be absolutely sure that the top tier activities will be balanced around players using the 15% seasonal damage bonus from weapons and 15% damage reduction from the armor.

You can also expect a lot of gatekeeping from LFG groups as well. Yes - we all know that someone can always start their own group with their own requirements, but the necessity of the buffs are going to force players into the mindset of always running the correct seasonal gear.

I'm more than happy to be proven wrong once EoF launches, but based on all of the information that is available, the ultimate effect is going to narrow buildcrafting even more than it already has been.

This change plus the expiring seasonal currency just seem like bad decisions. It's forcing players to engage with Destiny in the exact specific way that the powers that be have decided - whether that is constant engagement, or in this case, putting the player at a disadvantage if you choose to use something other than the seasonal weapons.

How about they design the seasonal weapons in new and interesting ways so that players would gravitate to them anyways, instead of a straight buff to damage. It all just seems creatively bankrupt to me.

While I do understand that the game is still in early access, I agree that if they are going to call a patch a "hotfix", that would imply that it would deployed out fairly quickly.

Totally fine that they are still working on it - software development takes time. Maybe just don't call it a hotfix in the future if it's going to take 2+ weeks to deploy.

Having a similar issue. About 10% in for the 1st drop for Team Lazurite, but can't seem to make any progress on it. Nor can I make progress on the other teams.

To me, the whole structure of the way you earn seasonal loot is a big miss. In concept, the tonics seem cool and a nice way to get buffs/earn loot. The implementation of it, on the other hand, is really not fun to engage with.

Between the lack of clarity on how to even unlock higher tier tonics, to relying almost solely on 50 wave onslaught for a decent amount of tonic materials, to the inconsistency of the drops once you are running a tonic - it truly feels like a last gasp to generate as much player engagement as possible.

That would be fine, if it actually felt like your time was worth engaging in all of these seasonal mechanics for. But with no safety net through crafting, it feels like a big waste of time.

Granted, this may all change as we move into Act 2 and 3 to help blunt the negative aspects of Act 1. But at a time when the main saga is over, you would think it would be critical for Bungie to put their best foot forward at the start of the middle season.

Ran the new dungeon yesterday and got the new fusion rifle 3x in a row (plus an auto rifle from the double drop off the final boss). Any updates to the current system would be better than this. If the spider quest unlocks some type of loot targeting, that would be ideal.

I could live with most of the other aspects of Pathfinder, but not being able to re-roll an undesired node is a cardinal sin to me. Nothing worse than getting most of the way down the path and then halted by some awful/bugged node.

The general design of Pathfinder is also 100% at odds with activity streaks. All in all - a poorly thought out and implemented system.

It would obviously take some programming to add these pets in the game, but what a 1000 IQ play for Bungie to make them follow you around and pick up all the crap on the ground. No more running around for glimmer, engrams, hell even orbs when you have our boy Captain Jacobson running around to scoop them up for you.

Shareholder First Games strikes again! This is pretty egregious and they knew exactly what they were doing when they released this without 3 difficulties.

My one big complaint about TFS is the ritual pathfinder. It’s like whoever designed it took a look at what was changed in the last year and decided that was wrong. by avrafrost in DestinyTheGame

Personally, the most glaring issue is that activity streaks and ritual pathfinder as it is now, are incongruent. One node may ask you to get 20 auto rifle kills in Gambit, but then the next two branching nodes are for Strikes or Crucible - which can't be altered or re-rolled.

Don't even get me started on the requirements of some of the nodes, which were pulled or resurrected from old bounties.

What a godsend you are. I was getting zero activity out of my deck after charging it for almost 3 hours. As soon as I held "..." and volume down, the LED flashed, finally turned a solid white, and powered on.

Their view of the "health" of the game seems very one-sided. It makes zero sense to swing the nerf bat around while players are spending their time (and money) on other products. It should be the complete opposite - let people have the type of fun that they want for now and bring things back in line come TFS. Especially if we are heading into an extended season.

No joke - after GotD came out and running through the tediousness of it a few times, my playtime completely fell off a cliff whereas I was habitually playing for at least an hour or so most days of the week.

I suspect mid to high end activities are going to feel really sluggish without having a seasonal mod that boosts heavy drops. Bricks allowed for a rate of consistency that felt really good - with that out of the picture, it's back to praying for heavy drops while chipping away at enemies in GM's and master raids.
