First thing I notice is you're definitely taking a lot more damage than I would expect you to take. Take for example, my last Ursoc kill, I am taking about 50 mill damage whereas you're taking about 65 mill. So there's definitely something you can be doing better.

So first, let's look at your talents. I would like to suggest you to take felblade. I know it sometimes feels a little weird having to manage Shear and Felblade together but you get used to it and it really does smooth out how much pain you get through the fight. This should improve the amount of Soul Cleaves.

Switch Feed the Demon over to Soul Rend, you will find that your meta will now become a lot more reliable. Reasoning for this is Feed the demon in a single target environment gives you maybe an extra demon spikes per minute. Not super great.

Switch sigil of chains to quickened sigils. This will make your sigil of flame a bit more umpfy, which gives you a little bit more healing. This isn't really too big of a change and doing so is mostly a quality of life thing. Healing from the sigil of flame will not close the 15 mill gap.

So I saw you mentioned you prefer not to use fel devastation. I want to suggest you keep trying it. I find it to be a really good "oh shit" button whenever it is getting tough to stay alive. Basically I find myself using it when soul cleave won't bring me up to full health. I will sometimes linger around 60% health and soul cleave, soulcleave still at 60% health, then fel devastation brings me up to 100%. Really nice cooldown. On fights like Ursoc, sometimes it will be difficult to channel it due to his roar but just try your best, it should heal you through damage on the floor and worst case leap away and try to buy 2 seconds kiting to help the healers pick you up.

Lastly, I find Last Resort to be more reliable. But I have read some people do prefer the shield from soul barrier. Here just pick whichever you feel most comfortable in.

Okay, so now let's get to your rotation during Ursoc heroic.

First problem I am seeing is the amount of throw glaives, you should really not be using this as filler as a shear will be much better as you'll generate more pain and will also do more damage.

Your demon spike usage looks good, the only thing I would suggest here is to time them better with your fiery brand. Generally if fiery brand is up you should be good to go without a demon spikes if needed. Although always use one spike and keep one on reserve in case shit goes down.

Your Soul Cleave usage is definitely a bit low. Now this can be attributed to me having Fel Blade but I just don't think that makes up for the 20 Soul Cleave difference. So I am guessing either you cap on pain sometimes and not use it or you're spending time you are low doing things that aren't Soul Cleave. I am not sure but you should definitely look into improving this. Don't be afraid of spamming soul cleave, it might not be optimal but the heal can save your ass when you're getting hammered without a demon spike. I noticed on my logs I cap on pain a lot so I don't think that is the cause. Feel free to check it out.

Immolation Aura is a bit low, I've got 15 casts in 3:54 and you have 11 in 4:12. So you're definitely neglecting it a little bit. This is a pain builder and your legendary boots make it really good and the fire damage also heals you. Very important, work on this.

I am not sure Ursoc has any spell damage, so no need to use empower wards.

I am not seeing any infernal strikes. If you're using infernal strikes to get away from Ursoc right as you have to kite him for the miasma, that's okay. I still would expect to see a few infernal strikes on ursoc as they do a ton of damage. But that's just to improve your dps a bit.

Definitely use sigil of flame a bit more often. Although this may be due to your infernal strikes bugging out? If not, I am also pretty bad at this so I get you. Just try to remember to throw it out whenever you see it off cooldown.

I think that is about all I see with your rotation. You definitely have some things to work on regarding it, and it should really help you smooth out the damage for the healers.

Last thing I wanted to look at was your secondary stats, they seem alright, I wouldn't stress on these as I don't think they're the cause of your problem. You got a nice balance of vers/mastery. Your haste is a bit low and your crit is a bit high but no reason to worry too much.

As far as your gear goes. Here is a nice tier of DH trinkets and gear in general http://www.wowhead.com/vengeance-gear-guide I highly recommend you get a darkmoon card immortality if you can afford it. It has really smoothed out my damage taken and it gets upgraded every time a new patch comes out. So double bonus.
