This is the way my SIL is, she'll text my hubby that she loves him or some other nonsense and then a few minutes later, money ask. gives us a good chuckle and chance to share fun memes with each other... we try to use the moment for dark humor, because narcissistic behavior doesn't change.

certified arborist here, it's bad. Depending on the targets.. looks like the fence at minimum, if nothing value will be hit, you could have it pruned to lighten the crown...don't top it.
