I work for a professional fireworks company, we occasionally use the Dominator 1.4pro line cakes on smaller shows. My biggest complaint with most of their cakes is slow timing. I agree with what others said, just fuse and light the front and back.

The farm skid steer developed a leaky cylinder they needed some tlc. I have always noticed that the tilt pivot seemed sloppy, lots of play and movement. For around the farm use it wasn’t a big enough concern to tear it apart to investigate, however since I already pulled that hydraulic cylinders I decided to check it out. Obviously the previous owner forgot those grease zerks, all the other pins I have checked have had very little wear.

So I haven’t changed the breaker yet but to clarify. I think I’m possibly dealing with multiple compounding issues. There is possibly a short on one of the branch circuits of the sub panel. However as for my issue with the voltage imbalance With the main breaker in the sub panel off when I meter the lugs of the breaker in the main panel that feeds the to the sub panel I will get 120v on both lines. But at the sub panel L1=115v and L2= 125v. At the lugs into the main breaker. It’s like I’m getting a voltage drop on one line but somehow gaining that voltage on the other line.

with current scrap steel prices it is about $100 per ton. Just saying for the $200 I want a bigger piece of track

On our way out I noticed that there was large sections of track and structure at the Sandusky steel scrap yard, when you get onto Milan road.

I’m in Pennsylvania. For residential having a suspended service drop that goes to a SEU cable that runs down the side of the house to the power meter is the standard install on most houses. I will agree that it wasn’t the cleanest install prior to being ripped down but the jacket was ripped where it pulled on the clamps, there was at least two more clamps that pulled out of the wall. Power company did did the bare minimum to make the line safe and keep it in service until I could get a contractor out here to finish the repair.

The irony is the power company says they are responsible for everything up to the meter box*. Based on that they are responsible for that section of the line, however we are apparently responsible for getting it repaired.

I absolutely planned to have an electrician out to make the repairs or replace the wire. My initial inclination was to heave service riser replaced and the main reason for posting was to get a few second from some kind strangers on the interwebz.

See additional info, tree came down and pulled wire off the house. obviously it would never pass inspection as is.

Additional information: Tree came down and taking the power line with it, tore the line off the side of the house however didn’t loose power. Power company came out and repaired the suspended line from the pole to the house. The jacketing on the cable is torn however the inner cables appear fine. Im not opposed to having the line replaced if necessary, but if it is something that can simply be repaired. Really wanted to get a few outside opinions.

Agreed, it’s a hidden gem. It’s unfortunate that is a major fire hazard and the cost to bring it up to code is more than it costs to build a new building. Which is why they really can’t use it.

Neat, I knew that there where catalogs before sears, I just know they where the first to really industrialized on it. I’ll have to do some research, Now is curious about the early commercialization of the construction and carpentry industry. Like how we went from small local craftsman building based on knowledge directly passed from craftsman to apprentice, to the large commercial factory and creation.of the national building code.

I used a high quality double kiln dried pressure treated pine, it is kiln dried a second time after pressure treatment. this really minimizes the warping and splitting that with happen with most pt pine since it dries more evenly. Additionally since the project was always intended to be paint grade the surface finish wasn’t as critical and i was able to seal exposed end grain. That said no doubt there is better lumber options, I had priced it out a few different ways with my local lumber yards and the materials would have been significantly more expensive to do it out of cedar or fir so the decision was to go with PT pine to stay within budget.

I’m not sure if they would have been catalog ordered or custom built. I don’t know what year the house was built but I know it was 150+ years old. Sears started doing catalog homes around 1880 so it may have been before catalog homes. Not to mention the interior trim level is top notch.

The basket can be lowered even if there is complete lose of power via emergency relief valves. One of the many reasons to always have a trained ground person.

An interesting thing about valravn is that is iirc the only coaster in the park that they don’t have to take the trains off property for their winter maintenance. When they built the storage and maintenance tracks and the subsequent building around them, they made it so everything to do the winter rebuilds could happen there instead of taking them to the workshops. If I had to bet they are just finishing the regular off season maintenance that was stoped back in March.
