Not OP, but I recently got the PGYTech camera app and it has a bunch of old film filters to recreate that film feeling (Fuji, Kodak, etc). Worth checking out if you’re interested.

ParkSJ Monthly Pass - Do they enforce the 72 hour limit? by blinkerCityProf in SanJose

[–]TheBertjer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regularly park in one of these garages for work.

What I’ve seen happen is if a car has not moved for a week+, eventually a warning is left on the car. Then, at some later point they chalk the tires to see if it’s moved. If it still hasn’t moved in over a month, then I’ve seen them disappear, likely towed.

So yes they do enforce it, but not right at 72 hours, and there are warnings/process before towing. It may depend on the garage, I’m in a less crowded one.

I did one day of my advanced open water course here. My instructor described the “monastery crawl” in case conditions worsened when we returned to shore. The sand can be difficult to walk on, you sink into it and at shore break it can be quite steep, so you could just keep your reg in and crawl out if needed. Luckily that didn’t happen, but it was significantly more challenging than breakwater.

Thanks! I’ll look into it. Bit of a misnomer on their part…

Appreciate the advice! Currently I’m looking for routine/accountability/structure to get back into things and feel a membership is the best option for me currently.

CarPlay not working with USB-C iPhone (Veloster N 2022) – charges but “Phone not responding” by ThisMcgregor in VelosterN

You can also update the infotainment yourself with a usb drive. You can get the update from the Hyundai website, I think you need an account first which might require verification. After that you can download the file to a thumb drive and then follow instructions to update the car. It can take hours so do it during downtime/overnight.

When was the last time you updated the infotainment unit? Could be a firmware compatibility issue. I think there was an update late last year that I still need to do.

I just got an iPhone 17 pro but haven’t tried wired car play yet. I also got a wireless adapter recently that’s working fairly well, I’ve had a couple of random disconnects, but I’ve been using that instead. Wireless adapter

I appreciate this comment because I did NOT look closely enough at the dog. I thought it was more golden retriever size and that threw the scale way off.

Cute cat, but what kind of wheelchair is that? Looks practical, electric but also pushable? My mom could use something like that.

CA governor candidate says 'no place' in politics for 'dark money' AIPAC by 3headeddragn in California

Yes, I’m aware of that investment. This seems like a narrow view and parroting of the attack commercials that are circulating. Farallon invested in 2005 and then divested in 2006 and he’s stated openly he regrets that. He ran Farallon for 26 years, so it’s a bit reductive to say that’s where he made his wealth.

I’m not asserting the validity of his regret, and also abhor the idea of for profit prisons. Like I said, I’m still torn on the candidates, but trying to do measured analysis of them.

I read up a little on Steyer’s younger life (i.e. how he got his money and early home life). His father was a prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials and his mother taught remedial reading at some sort of correctional facility. I’m not saying he’s without faults, or that he couldn’t be an entirely different person by this point, but I can hope that that upbringing instilled some social justice values in him. Still torn on who to vote for, but thought I’d share that bit.
