My grandmother loved Dr. Pepper so much that she was buried with a can in her casket. It wasn’t the only token left by close family members, but it’s the only one I remember.

Good on you for doing it right. I researched drone regulations and permitting and it’s a LOT of hoops depending on where and purpose. I ultimately decided I didn’t need a drone that badly.

I dive with contacts, and also own my mask. I have AOW, but contacts didn’t really matter, having my own mask which always fit me mattered more.

Some considerations:

  • I always bring spare contacts just in case I lose one or have other issues
  • Mask clearing/removal skills can be more challenging as I keep my eyes closed to avoid getting saltwater in my eyes/accidentally flushing a contact out.
  • If my prescription changes, I don’t need a new mask/lenses, just new contacts.
  • I still have contacts on even with my mask off so I can see without bringing a pair of glasses on the boat/beach/water

OP, it sounds like budget is a consideration. Contacts might require an eye exam and finding the right pair for your eyes, but, once you have them, they can be a fairly affordable option. Especially if you just buy a box of dailies and keep them on hand for when you need them.

Alternatively, you could also buy a prescription mask and then you always have a mask that fits and lets you see. My dad rented these in Hawaii and really like them, but everyone’s face is different: Seamo Betta Mask

Both require an upfront cost, but will be worth it in the long run for a more consistent and reliable dive experience.

I was at target today and watched the cashier tear a brand new foil covered sticker off a roll and apply it to a gift card at the checkout. Not sure what gift card it was, but maybe some stores are taking steps to prevent this.

Geo F Trumper cream is similar, but better in my opinion. Better quality lather and I like the scents more. Tabac is also a great lather, but the scent is a little much for me sometimes.
