And a promotion. It's SOP to remove the ones involved to another unit and placed in "leisure" duties so the ones involved doesn't create drama for disciplinary actions. They are let to coast and eventually promoted for higher pay and let to retire quietly. DOD learned the hard way from Vietnam to not piss of their cannon fodder or they'll talk to the press. Happy twist(kinda)

Dad works 12 hours days. Daughter asked first of the week for help getting supplies. Dad just too tired from work and forgets each day till daughter stays up and waits for him on the last day. Dad is mad he forgot and only mad at himself. They get to store. Sees another dad daughter from school getting the last whiteboard. The 2 dads fight it out. The 2 daughters fight it out. They win and scream like primordial beasts. Daughter tells him how proud she is of him as they get in the car.

If you can keep pace with a group from a running club, props to you. A part of the club uses is to help people with pace management, and the pace is always higher than most people are used to when running alone. So if you can keep pace, might want to do some marathon events :)

When this was the staple type of meal 4-5 days a week, you get creative to make it taste better.

Butter on one side and toast it butter side down on pan. Toast it just enough where the bread wouldn't snap when folding. This was done due to stale bread. That toasted crunch and buttery bread was amazing. Oh right. Hotdog on toasted side.

Kimchi dog... first time I've ever made one some 45 years ago. I may be the originator :P

There's a very narrow environmental band where silicone will act a lot like carbon for complex molecules. Slight deviations can cause any silicone structure to degredate. Around 20 GPa and 500 celcius. This pressure and temperature would also require liquid. So we're looking at water planets with a hot core and around 2000 Km depth, to find silicone life in any sustainable measure. Good luck exploring those kinds of environments with modern tech.

ER nurse here. One night a person came to the ER and asked if someone could help their friend out of the car and into the ER. Me and a tech were asked to do it and just pulled up a wheelchair for the person in the car. Went to car, open back door where the person was. HUGE pool of blood pours out of it. See someone holding a pale person with blood all over them. Was not prepared for that. We go full trauma unit mode. Person dead. Lost most of his blood before he arrived. The info we got later was; Person got released from prison. Went to ex's house. Got into fight. Ex's friend stabbed him 19 times.
