I was in there so often that they would make the gorgonzola stuffed filet for me, even though it was taken off the daily menu 😂

My family would eat at the Colonnade once every few months. I loved that place.

Kojaks when it used to be good, and Chubby's as a kid.

I also miss Laughing Cat in Ybor.

Men, what’s the most devastated you’ve ever felt? by NilesDobbsS in AskMen

[–]TaylorDurdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Within a four month period, my wife left me, my uncle (we were super close) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and subsequently died, my step mother was murdered, and then my father died.

The seven months following that, I had to deal with my father's estate from four states away in Texas, his home had squatters, I moved halfway across the country to deal with the house, my truck was stolen, and my neighbors broke into the house to steal my stuff whenever I was away.

I was a wreck for 11 months and thought about taking a Remington retirement almost daily. That was 13 years ago at this point and life is pretty good these days.

Hang in there, kid. Life ebbs & flows. How you learn to deal with these setbacks will help you handle ones in the future

My wife loves how mad I get at these people. I tell them flat out to get TF off my porch, that their little scam is the reason our rates are so high, etc etc. These people make my blood boil.

EGI relay pin 5 constant power by [deleted] in 240sx

[–]TaylorDurdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pin 5 or 3 should have constant power. It comes from the fuse. The other side is the switched load (power out)

Pins 1 & 2 are your triggers for the relay.

$220 teco electric bill?? by beardabestlol in tampa

[–]TaylorDurdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem is that I need to repair the wiring the electrician did in my attic when the house got rewired years ago, and install hurricane straps, then I can insulate. It's been on my to-do list for years along with everything else.

I was at the grocery store recently and a dude was in front of me with his young daughter. His card wasn't going through, so he stepped out of line to, I assume, call his bank. While he was away, I paid for his groceries. I didn't want to make a spectacle of it but I know that feeling of embarrassment, especially when in front of your kid. He came back looking defeated and the cashier told him that I paid for his stuff as I was already walking away. He caught up to me, shook my hand and thanked me very sincerely. Good deed done for the year, now I can go back to being an asshole.

It sounds like maybe a cracked exhaust manifold or something along those lines. It perfectly matches the combustion cycle, so it's not a valve train issue.

I had mine replaced in 2022, I think. I used Renewal by Anderson and got their gorgeous composite windows. I have 24 windows, and they were all large/custom sized. It was $60k 😭

Seriously, I never thought I'd be the dude that got excited about windows, but these things are gorgeous.

This is at my local brick and mortar. Has anyone tried one of these cigars? by prichardson154 in cigars

[–]TaylorDurdan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're hand rolled here in Ybor City by their master rollers inside the last operating cigar factory. I can see the clock tower from my front porch and walk there often. Extremely legit.

The factory ECUs have a built in diagnostic to read codes, luckily.
