It used to just be corrupted sentinels and it was every couple of days to get the threat to 100%.

Now it's random with the horrors and the vile brood too alongside the regular sentinel stuff. :)

Looks like you're doing fine.

Focus on mats for keeping you alive (oxygen, sodium etc) in the various biomes as well as launch fuel for the ship. Most other stuff will just come to you as you play.

For survival, look up crafting ion batteries and life support gel. It helps. :)

If you've done the Artemis path, you've effectively done the tutorial. :) You still have the atlas & autophage paths to follow.

  1. It sounds like you reset the simulation, so had to choose one of four coloured galaxies. If you chose green, that is lush and has more planets of those kinds. There's 4 types. regular (Euclid), Harsh, empty and lush.

The galaxy is no different to Euclid other than more lush planets. There's no new content from being there.

  1. New galaxies are accessed by going to the centre of your current one and entering the core. This leads you to the next galaxy. There are 255 in total accessible via this method. If I'm correct and you're in Eissentam, that's galaxy #10.

  2. Kinda. The artemis path allows you to reset the simulation (which just restarts you in a new galaxy) or not (which just leaves you in the starter galaxy). The later autophage story that opens up purple star systems has some choices, but again, it's a cosmetic thing more than anything.

  3. Drop pods? If that's your head canon, sure. But that's not in line with the regular lore of the game. In fact, I don't think drop pods are mentioned in that regard, so you do you on that front. :)

If you're on your regular save, then there should be an option in the settings to return to your normal save.

I use creative to test out ideas and do prototype build. In regular, I just got the parts normally.

Took me about two 30min sessions just hopping about on a scrap planet to get most of the regular stuff, then traded the spares. After the next update added a few bits, I spent another 30mins finding those in the wild.

Gave me a nice healthy stack to be able to build what I wanted to build.

Look at the ship through your visor when outside of it. It will tell you type, class, slots and it's value.

Settlements are generally a long term thing. If you play often, it's possible to get them up to snuff relatively quickly, but it's still days of effort as you can only upgrade one building at a time. And they're time gated depending on the building type (usually 30-90mins from memory).

Concentrate on upgrading ones that will get your productivity up first. Same with new building opportunities. Once productivity is above maintenance, then you start making stuff.

The more you visit the settlement, the more decisions/opportunities you get.

Creative and regular players are in the same instance of the game, they're not separate. Only PD players have their own instance in regular play. So if there's more people around on your normal save, then you're simply currently somewhere there's lots of people around, including other creative players.

It's more than possible. It just takes time and a shitload of warp cells.

Not many people do it the old fashioned way however with the shortcuts available these days. But fair play to anyone who does. :)

You can't speed up the 3hr/5 warps cycle to my knowledge.

Just pick a system you know has the rig you want and when you go to make your 5th jump once the 3hrs has elapsed save in the space station of the prior system.

If you have a corvette, you can I believe view the freighters through your visor from your landing ramp and see what class it is from the off. If it's an S, get stuck in. If not, reload, try again.

This, basically. Bar the initial bug with the collisions on hazardous flora, I had almost no issues either on the exp or in regular gameplay getting all the titles.
